2.2.2 Metal Trunkings for COMMS

a. The height of the trunkings shall not be more than 3m from the ground. All trunkings’
tee-offs shall be properly terminated and covered.

b. In the case of stacking, there shall be a minimum vertical separation of 100mm in

between trunkings to allow opening of trunkings and accessing of cables. All trunking
and cables ladders must be grounded at one end.

c. For system furniture partitions, an additional supporting back mounting plate shall be
provided for the mounting of Comms/Network points faceplates.

d. For Ops & OA Data trunking, provision for the installation of trunking seals by
drilling a hole on the top and at the side of trunking, at every 1.5m interval at alternate
sides, hall be made.

e. All trunkings shall terminate at least 200mm before and after all MCT frames, where
applicable.

2.2.3 Concealed Points

a. Concealed points for PA speakers volume control next to the light switch in every
room, except utility rooms and common area. The External Dimensions of the volume
control box is 54mm (W) x 102mm (H) x 35mm (D). The concealed point shall be

linked back to the Admin Trunking within the same room using appropriate junction
boxes at every bend.

b. 2 concealed points for PA Mic shall be provided. To be linked back to the Admin
Trunking. Actual location to be determined later by BI C4 Comms dept.

c. 60 concealed points to be provided for the admin phone lines. To be linked back to
Admin Trunking. Actual location to be determined later by BI C4 Comms dept.

d. 2 concealed points to be provided for the Ops phone lines. To be linked back to Ops
Trunking. Actual location to be determined later by BI C4 Comms dept.

e. 60 concealed points to be provided for the OA data network lines. To be linked back
to OA Data Trunking. Actual location to be determined later by BI C4 Comms dept.

f. 2 concealed points to be provided for the Ops data network lines. To be linked back to
Ops Data Trunking. Actual location to be determined later by BI C4 Comms dept.

g. 2 concealed points to be provided for the I-Net network lines. To be linked back to I-
Net Trunking. Actual location to be determined later by BI C4 Comms dept.

h. All concealed points shall have an individual concealed conduit linked back to the
respective trunking in the respective rooms, and drawstrings for individual conduit
shall be provided. Dia 50mm conduits shall be used for PA Mic concealed points. All
other conduits used shall be dia 25mm min for comms.

i. All the provision quantity stated above can be adjusted on-site based on final
requirement confirmed by Comms.

j. All installation in battery room (if any) shall be mounted 300mm below ceiling level.

2.3 BLK 130 (Existing Substation DS)

The Contractor shall design, supply, deliver, install, test and commission the followings:

2.3.1 Modification and tap from Exiting MSB to cater a 630A Adjustable 4P
MCCB (min 43KA or same as existing MSB whichever higher) including all protection
and monitoring meters, with a) Digital Power Meter b) Surge Protection Device c) E/F &
O/C Protection for Blk 132 (Main Bldg).

2.3.2 All lead-in pipes, openings, UPVC pipe, haunching of pipes that are necessary for these
cablings works shall be catered and include in this contract.
