Prerequisite for DISE Capsule :-

1. Microsoft Windows Operating System

2. DISE Capsule Setup software

3. Epic Search Software

4. DeptData.mdb file

5. Web Camera to capture photograph or Scanned photograph in jpg or jpeg format in less than 20 KB size.

6. Voter ID Card

7. Bank Name, IFSC Code of Bank Branch and Bank Account No.

8. High Speed Internet Connection on your Computer.

Installation Procedure:
1. Download the software from website – sasnagar.gov.in --- ELECTIONS 2017 (or take it from District Election Office, District
Administrative Complex, Sector 76, S.A.S Nagar)
2. Login as Administrator with Full Privilege Account on your Computer
3. Unzip folder “Election 2017” downloaded from website -- sasnagar.gov.in or from CD
4. Open Folder
Open file installation instructions.docx and take its printout.
Open file Performa for polling staff data collection, take its printing and distribute it among your staff to
collect their data.
Right Click on EPIC.bat or EPIC file and click on “Run as Administrator”
5. Open Dise Capsule Setup 4.5 Folder and Right Click on setup.exe and Run as Administrator
Following Screens will appear
Click on next
Click on Install …
Following screen will appear :
Click on Finish …
After successful installation Two Icons (District Information system for election Capsule and resize
Photograph)will appear on the Desktop as shown below :

Double Click on” District Information System for Election Capsule” Icon on Desktop)

Click on icon District Information system for capsule module


Select Deptdata.mdb file available in Election 2017 folder and press open
Select Your Department from the list appears on the screen

After selecting Department, Select Office/Offices from the available list under selected Department:
Press Add … ( You can select more than one office under your control and want to enter data on a single
computer/machine )
Click on Install Button
Confirm your Department and office(s) you want to configure

Click on Yes Button


Software has been successfully installed and data initialize screen will appear :
On Successful installation of Software following screen will appear :
Click on Transaction Tab and Select

1. For Data Entry Polling Personnel Data Entry and Editing


Click on Add Button following screen will appear :
1. Select Department Name
2. Select Office Name
3. Enter Employee Name
4. Enter Father/Husband Name
5. Select Designation form dropdown list
6. Select Male/Female
7. Select Class of Employee as A or B or C from dropdown list
8. Select Pay Scale / Grade Pay from dropdown list
9. Enter Basic Pay
10. Enter Office Name and Address in full
11. Select Constituency where you are working from dropdown list
12. Enter Home full Address with Telephone no.
13. Select the Constituency where you are presently residing from dropdown list
14. Select, if you already exercised election duty as, from dropdown list
15. Select Native Constituency where you take birth

Enter EPIC Number (Voter ID Card No.) carefully and Press Tab Button Two Times and wait. It will search EPIC No. and fetch the
information as shown below :
Press OK, It will fill Voter Registered at AC , Part No., Serial No. in Part No. and Adhaar No. automatically.
Enter Date of Birth

Enter Date of Retirement

Select Bank from dropdown list

Enter full Bank Account No.

Enter IFSC Code of Bank Branch Correctly

Tick on Handicap (if applicable)

Tick on Long Leave (If applicable)

Select Employee ID from drop down list

Fill Remarks (if any)


And Capture or Upload Existing Image (for uploading photo, the employee photo should be scanned in JPEG format and the size of
photo should be less than 20 KB). The procedure of resizing photo is also given in this document
Click on Capture button to Capture photo and crop the picture with the help of mouse. The cropped picture will appear on the right
side, now click on Back button. Click on Save button

On pressing Save button, Click on Yes Button , Record saved successfully . In similar way you can enter all employees data.
For photo to upload in software
Click on Upload Photograph using upload Photograph option then select the photo of employee (photo should be in JPEG format and
its size should be less than 20 KB). The instructions to resize photo are available in this manual
If you selected Photo and Photo size is not less than 20kb, following message will appear :
Use Resizer software provided and icon is available on your desktop, double click on “Resize Photograph” icon

Load Photo by selecting image available on your computer


Select output Dimensions (resolution width 120 height 160) to reduce the size of photograph
After resizing width and height. Then click on save as option and save image as jpeg or jpg
For Printing Report
Go to  Reports

Go to customize checklist and select Department and Office


How to Send Data Back to Election Office

Go to Data Administrator

Select Database Backup option  Click Yes


Data will be backed up in specific location as shown below
Now for Exporting Data Click on Administration  Export Data Link button

Click on Yes Button to confirm


On confirming it prompted and Directed you to First Print summary Report
On Pressing Print Summary Screen will appear
Print the Summary
After printing summary It will ask you have you printed Declaration Certificate , Print Declaration certificate

Click on Export data


Press Export data

Click On Exit
Select the “DiseOutPut” folder in C drive as shown below and copy the folder, having exported file, on
CD writing Department and Office Name, submit the same to Election Office alongwith hardcopies of
Check List, Summary Report and Declaration Certificate duly Stamped and Signed by your HOD or
Superintendent/Reporting Officer and Data Entry Operator.

Please do not enter the details of All Class IV Employees/Drivers Like Peon, Sweeper, Chowkidar, Security
