Lesson Plan in English

Grade 4

I. Objectives:

At the end of the 50-minute lesson, the students should achieve 90-95% mastery of the
following:

a) Describe the clay models in English using correct grammar.


b) Feel proud of being a Filipino and realize that the world is made up of different races
and colors.
c) Perform a skit which shows an alternative ending of the story.

III. Procedure
 Review
 Review past lesson: Verbs
o The pupils will give examples of verbs and they will do the action.

 State lesson goals


 Describe the clay models in English using correct grammar.
 Feel proud of being a Filipino and realize that the world is made up of different races
and colors.
 Perform a skit which shows an alternative ending of the story.
 Preliminary Activity
 “Guess What?” Game*. (Motivation, Unlocking of Difficulties)
o Students will be divided into three groups. They will be given clay and they
will create something out of it. Then the other groups will describe the clay
models the other groups have made.
 During Reading
 Post Reading/ Evaluation
 “How Should it End?” Activity.
o The students will make a skit which shows an alternative ending of the
story. Focusing on how the brown man felt when he was the one that
Kabunian liked the most.

IV. Assignment
 Find and perform a song which promotes the Filipino culture/race/language.
o Example: Ako’y Isang Pinoy
