Module’s Objectives
A. Content Standard: The learner will be able to demonstrate understanding of media and
information literacy (MIL) and MIL related concepts.
B. Performance Standard: The learner will be able to organize a creative and interactive blog for
the community focusing on being a media and information literate individual.

C. Learning Competencies: At the end of this module, you should be able to:
a. Describe how communication is influenced by media and information; and
b. Identify the similarities and differences between and among media literacy, information
literacy, and technology literacy.

In this time of pandemic, media is an essential tool to disseminate information about


the current condition of our nation. However, due to the number of information served in the
media especially in the social media we should not just rely in an information. We should
assess the reliability and accuracy of the information before believing and sharing it on the
social media.

make our projects or assignments and we even share information as well. As a result, we are

Class Media Habits Lifestyle and Preferences

In producing shows or advertisements, media have certain target classes and


messages that are relayed to them. It is the goal of media to provide reminders to the
consumers that certain products are worth buying even when they are not. Through constant
repetitions of reading messages, media will able to shape people's perception Henceforth,
lifestyle media is closely associated with persuading and influencing many consumers to
modify their lifestyle such as where to eat, how to dress, and the manner of a communicating.
This change in preference and lifestyle is highly influence of from endorsements made by
celebrities. The internet becomes a powerful medium for spotting products that are trending
and having the possibility of becoming a brand.
