Do not store directly on the floor, always block up.
Windings should be meggered at the time the motors are put in storage.
If outdoor storage is necessary, protection with a vapour barrier beneath the Motor
is required. The Motors should be blocked up to prevent flooding. All external
parts such as shafts, machined surfaces, threaded holes etc. should be protected as
mentioned above during outdoor storage. ROTATE MOTOR SHAFT

Procedure for Packaging of FRP Finished Goods
1.0 INTRODUCTION :
The aim of this procedure, it to ensure that goods required for the execution arrive without damage or loss at the Site,
providing minimum standards for the correct manufacture of suitable packaging solutions when shipping goods by any type
of method of transport.
Packaging is suitable for any means of transport, whether it is by sea freight, airfreight, road or railway.
Each type of goods shall be packed taking into consideration the following information: ‐Protection requirements of the
goods to be packaged ‐Means of transport to be used. ‐ transport route and duration, storage/stop‐over points and
transhipment. ‐ Centre of gravity and weight issues.
The packing, transport and storage‐procedure serve as a mandatory requirement for creating a package for optimum
product protection, taking into account logistical, economic and ecological aspects.
2.0 PURPOSE :
This document describes the overall packaging requirements for FRP products. This Includes General
Packaging Requirements, Labeling, Documents to Enclose, Part Protection and Handling of FRP finished goods.

Selecting the appropriate packaging is effected according to customer requirements and product‐own specifications. The
following information will be required in order to find out the most suitable packaging for each type of goods: ‐
Characteristics of the goods: type, size, number of units, mobile or loose parts and whether it requires additional protection
given its sensitivity to rust or other agents. Packing‐, Transport‐ and Storage‐
· Ensure that size of pallet should not exceed by 1100 mm in width & 1100 mm in height.
· Post completion of packaging plastic stripping is to be done by manual strapping machine with application of
corrugated angles & packing buckles.
· Ensure required MS pallet is shifted from fabrication yard to packaging area and placed appropriately for safe
working conditions.
· Apply two Wrapping coats of air bubble film on surface square pipes & side pipes of pallet to avoid wear & tear of
FRP profiles during filling.
· Start packing of material as per packing list given by company employee.
Ø Reading of the drawing no. as in the packing list
Ø Picking up the profile from the storage area
Ø Cleaning the profiles with a wet cloth. In some cases cleaning with chemical would be required. Chemical
would be provided by Co
Ø Bunching together of all profiles as per packing list
· Post completion of packaging plastic stripping is to be done by manual strapping machine with application of
corrugated angles & packing buckles.
· Engage top MS angles on welded clits of pallet and tighten with nut‐bolt.
· Put plywood sheets on both side of the pallet and tighten by self‐drilling screws.
· In case of multiple profile types in a single pallet to arrange in such a manner that the thinner/smaller profiles are on
top and complementing the other profiles appropriately
· External Agency/One team member to palletize and another team member to verify (against drawing no. and SOL)
and certify the palletized material (maker and checker concept). Checker to randomly verify the pallets and cross
sign the packing sheet of each pallet
· Ensure gross weight of pallet should not exceed by 4.5 Ton (4500 kg) to the extent possible.
· Individual packing list is stuck to respective pallets along with other shipping marks (Customer name, Address etc.)
and any other document as required by the Customer.
· Ensure Post bunching, stripping, palletizing, marking and putting ply on sides (for Exports pallets), the certified
pallets are to be moved/lined up in the earmarked storage/loading area, in a maximum radius of 200 mtrs., under
instructions of Company employee.
· Ensure plastic stripping is to be done on every 2.5 to 3 mtr. distance on profiles
· Ensure wooden pallets/wooden blocks are to be put on every two mtr. Distance.
Packaging for interior panels, parts of metro train, portable toilet modules, seating modules,
frames, FRP sheets and similar products:
· Packing of these mentioned and similar items consists of following packing resources such as air bubble sheet,
corrugated paper roll, stretch film etc.
· FRP products manufactured in mass transport division comprise of different shapes & design and critical to handle
during transportation. The packaging must comply with a safely transport and securely storage for all usual means of
transport and storage resources.
