SUBJECT’S DESCRIPTION
SUBJECT’S INTRODUCTION
During basic 1 level students will find the base to learn English as a foreign language.
Here students will learn basic expressions for communicating in real scenarios and how
to describe basic things related to their lives. Also, students will get vocabulary and
grammar models to provide personal information, express likes and dislikes, give
physical descriptions and describe their daily routine. This level provides students with
basic tools for communicating in foreign language.

In addition, the student will also be able to provide information about their free time
activities, object pronouns, pronoun, preference and differences.
1.1. Introduction. We use simple present to talk about routines, preferences, likes and
dislikes. Some of the verbs used to express our preferences about specific
activities and topics are: like, love, enjoy, prefer, hate and dislike.

Hates staying- love traveling- doesn’t like eating- enjoys watching- don’t love
cleaning- prefer going

Students used simple present to talk about routines, preferences, likes and dislikes.
Some of the verbs they used to express their preferences about specific
activities and topics were: like, love, enjoy, prefer, hate and dislike.

ideas when we want to give reasons or to connect one affirmative sentence with one
negative sentence.

Students used some adjectives to describe things and because to give reasons about their preferences,
likes and dislikes.

We use the structure would you like…? When we want to make an invitation and the
structure Do you like…? When we ask about preferences, likes and dislikes.

Students used the structure would you like? When they made an invitation to a friend such as: going to
the concert, having a coffee, having lunch and so on. Students also used the structure do you like?
When they wanted to know about a friend's preferences, likes and dislikes.

5. 1 Introduction
We sometimes use the pronoun to replace the noun.
You use the object pronoun when you are not the doer of the action but the action affects
you. We normally use object pronoun after a verb or preposition.
