For Individuals Effected by COVID-19

1. Who are the customers eligible for B40 individual/customer registered in the Bantuan SaraHidup
this assistance? (BSH)/Bantuan Prihatin Rakyat (BPR) database:

No documentation is required from customers to prove eligibility for this


assistance. MBSB/MBSB Bank will instead rely on BSH/BPR data of the
customers.

Unemployed individual/customer under M40/T20 group who became


unemployed in 2020 - 2021 and remain unemployed at time of application.

Basic documentation to prove eligibility and MBSB/MBSB Bank reserves the right
to rescind the offer if the customer is found to have misled MBSB/MBSB Bank on
their eligibility.

Reduction in Income individual/customers who have experienced reduction in


income/pay cut. Includes reduction in salary, allowances, commission and
household income.

a. Such individuals need only furnish a self-declaration that their own income,
or their household income (i.e. combined income of customer and their
spouse), is experiencing a reduction due to the pandemic.
b. MBSB / MBSB Bank may request for documentation from the customer at a
later stage for post ad hoc validation purposes. Customers will be informed
from the onset, that supporting documents (e.g. pay slips, bank statements)
may be requested later for validation purposes.

Microenterprise (as defined in Guideline on SME definition issued by SME


Corporation Malaysia). The relief options will apply to any facility with an
approved value of up to RM150,000.00.

a. No documentation required from customers to prove eligibility.


Self-declaration by the customer or will be based on current internal
information in MBSB/MBSB Bank’s database.

a. Not applicable to individuals under bankruptcy process or


businesses that are subject to a winding up process.

b. For eligible customers, currently signed up for targeted repayment


assistance, MBSB/MBSB Bank will accommodate their request and
advice on how the new request would affect their existing and future
payments.

Individuals with Reduction in Income (Pay Cut)


Option
Reduction in monthly payments for 6 months according to income reduction/
pay cut:
i. Profit/Interest will continue to accrue on deferred amounts; and
ii. Restructuring/extension of facilities with additional profit/interest/modification
costs from changes (extended financing tenure) in contractual cash flows

i. The assistance will be made available for monthly payments due

i. Their monthly payment amount and/or financing tenure will be
adjusted to reflect the higher overall financing cost; and
ii. New documents or agreements will need to be signed in
accordance with legal and Shariah requirements before the
assistance can take effect; and
iii. Specific details on cost implications/modification cost of
assistance will be provided,before confirmation on the selection.
This will include details of changes in the payment schedule
(tenure), in monthly payments and any bullet payments due in the
future; and
iv. For individual customers acknowledgement of selection
confirmation will be within 5 working days via SMS and customer
will need to reply the SMS within 24 hours.
v. For Microenterprise and SMEs, confirmation will be within 14
working days
