4. Utilizing the "designing down" process, identify a subject area of your choice and answer the

following four questions concerning this topic.

i) What do I want the students to know, do and be?

Designing the down process involves making decisions about a school, starting from the biggest

issues of concern to the most important and detailed aspects to make all parts in the school work

together for the advantage of the students (Best, Macgregor & Price, 2017). I chose the Science

topic for this case. I want the students to learn about technological advances in this

technologically growing world. Science will help students know important issues about our

health, environment and other natural hazards. Science will prepare students to be productive and

active in critical thinking, creativity in technology and gain other skills from science. That is

what I want the students to know. In learning science, students will be curious to exploit new

ideas in science, be open-minded in this changing world, and boost their values.

ii) How can standards be clustered in meaningful ways that cut across the curriculum?

Clustering standards is essential in curriculum frameworks as it helps all the teachers in

designing education programs. Meaningful clustering will develop learning activities that are in

line with the goals and standards of the curriculum. It will involve evaluating the learners'

performance with tools that apply to all students in terms of learning, their level of knowledge,

cultural background while cherishing all their expectations. Lastly, the learning materials and

other resources will interest all learners and stakeholders to promote learning and understanding.

iii). What is acceptable evidence to show that students have achieved the KDB?

Assessment of the development is an essential component in KDB achievement. Educators can

observe students in various situations and through strategies to identify how the program is being

consumed. The evidence is important because it will show the level of skills, knowledge and

understanding of the students, show a clear picture of the students' interests, show how the

learners rethinking, and depict the effectiveness of the designing process that topic. The evidence

can be attained by assessing the students' level of knowledge, assessing the level of innovation in

the students, and also through test scores.

4. What educational experiences will enable the students to demonstrate achievement of the

KDB?

Well implemented KDB in the curriculum can help students' brains adapt and grow based on

their educational experiences. Exposing students to various academic opportunities for active

learning helps students to develop their brains. All learners have the capability of growing and

capturing new ideas and knowledge that is challenging. It is the role of teachers to focus on

educational experiences that strengthen and support students' skills through instructions and

other relevant interventions. Believing and showing all students that they can grow academically

helps a lot in helping students capture the KDB. Always know students' skills and support each,

even those with multiple skills, the most advanced and with some weaknesses and how they can

help one another. Involving students in solving real-world challenges will help students open

their minds to behold classroom. Asking questions, getting relevant answers, applying critical

thinking, involving students in social learning, and random tests will greatly help students

demonstrate they have achieved KDB.
