❖ CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu chief minister M K
Stalin on Friday presented cash awards and
certificates to 21 writers identified by the Tamil
Nadu Adi Dravidar Art and Literature Society
for their best literary works in the fields of art,
culture, literature and research activities.
KEY HIGHLIGHTS:
❖ The awards for the years 2018-19 and 2019-20 were presented at the
secretariat.
❖ The state government extends financial support to adi dravidar writers for
which a corpus fund of Rs 50 lakh has been created. Interest accrued is
availed for the cash awards to 10 adi dravidar writers and one non-adi
dravidar writer every year.
“The chief minister gave away Rs 20,000 each to the awardees towards the
first instalment and the certificates,” said an official release.

resource research in India. The company has developed a cell phone
processor called & Matsya Sethu" for everyone to learn aquaculture
techniques online.
❖ This processor was developed by a scientist from Tamil Nadu working at the
Central Freshwater Biodiversity Research Station. Sivaraman is the creator.
