of fresh fruit and vegetables with reference to fruits and vegetables grown in the Caribbean

Title: Sugar in Popular Beverages

Cover Page: Include the title, your candidate number, the name of the subject and the date
of submission.

Table of Contents - This includes all the headings and the pages they are found on.

Introduction: Give an overview about the concern of sugar intake among the students at your
school, include possible health effects.

Statement of Problem – This summarizes the issue with sugar intake.


Example: Students in our school are observed to consume too many foods which are full of
sugar.

Research Objective - This states why you are carrying out your research
Example: To determine the amount of sugar in the most popular foods consumed by students at
school A.

Methodology:
You need to describe how to collect the data. Give a reason for this. If you used a survey
or a questionnaire, include who was given the survey, a description of your data collection
instrument (e.g. the survey), describe how you collected your data and any limitations of
your data collection method. A copy of the survey or questionnaire should be copied into
the Appendix.
Example
A survey of the foods students ate on a regular basis was done to determine the most popular
foods consumed by students. Students were asked what they ate at lunch and for snacks as they
were waiting at the canteen line after it was determined that 60 percent of the students at school
A bought their lunch and snacks from the canteen. Two hundred students were questioned
ranging in ages from 11 to 16 years old – 40 students per year group.

The data from the survey was analyzed. The sugar content per serving was determined by
looking at food labels and an internet search. These were tabulated. The total amount of sugar
students consumed was calculated and represented in a bar chart.

Presentation of Data
Tabulate the results of your survey. Use the data to create a graph or pie chart.
Example
Table showing sugar content of popular foods. Bar chart of total sugar consumed in different
meals.
