ABSTRACT
Computers have become the life line of young generation. The present generation students like to embrace all
the things in the ambit of this modern technology. The educators are feeling shy and reluctant to accept
technology as their work partner. Will our present and the immediate next generation educators like to view
the gap widening between them and further generation students in terms of usage of technology for teaching
5 learning purpose or they would like to modernize themselves in the struggle to keep intact their responsible
professional position intact? Are universities and institutions in the field of teacher education focusing upon
the courses for using computers in education or they simply feel delighted to see the state boards at school
level and National/State councils for Educational Research and Training are advancing at great speed to plan
out integration of technology with education with teachers struggling to complete even the prescribed
10 syllabus?

INTRODUCTION
Over the years, computers have changed the way the world works. They have wound up being an advantage
for the corporate part, and in addition in diverse zones, for instance, prescription, basic designing,
correspondence/communication, investigation, recreations and teaching. Discussing which, PCs or computers
have accepted control over the field of teaching, getting over its effect each possible way. These especially
5 machines, which were once used generally as a piece of investigation labs and government work environments
have now transformed into a regular sight in schools over the world. Today, computers have touched the lives
of many students living in the remotest bit of our planet, be it particularly or otherwise. There is no denying the
way that computers absolutely control the life of a typical student in any part of the world, be it as hand-held
devices, or printed course readings. In this paper we outlined the applications or uses of computers and its
10 noteworthiness or significance to teaching and learning in worldwide education system or schools.
In order to meet the challenges provided by present society, many universities in the field of Teacher
Education had introduced an optional course in computers. This only brought awareness about computers in
the field of Teacher Education. The student-teachers were made to know about basic computer hardware and
some software application packages. But keeping in mind the interest and psychology of modern learner, many
15 universities tried to ‘Integrate Technology with Education’. They primarily focused upon use of computers in
education hence; they initiated to teach a core paper “Computers in Education” with other foundation papers in
education, so as to initiate a process of making a relation between teacher-computer-student.

Although National Curriculum Framework (NCF 2005) and Curriculum Framework for Teacher Education
(2006) prepared by National Council For Teacher Education in collaboration with National Council of
20 Educational Research and Training, had urged to focus upon integration of technology with education, yet
many universities not bothered to reframe their traditional curriculum for Teacher Education. And those
universities who tried to initiate the process were faced by different challenges including lack of specialists and
professionals to frame proper curriculum, curriculum as per needs of modern developing India with global
economy, teacher educators and study material for such curriculum etc. There are indeed many specialized
25 teachers and a plethora of study material for technical knowledge in computers, but we lack teacher educators
and resources for teaching computers in relation to education. We indeed lack Teacher Educators who are
willing to integrate technology with education.

The Online Examination System is an electronic application. This framework will help the college/Institution
to assess the inquiry have different alternative with one right reply. The college/Institution can direct the online
30 examination and report the outcome in a couple time. The examination office is in charge of the creating the
inquiry paper and it would be totally secure. Online Examination framework give remotely access to
understudies. It assists the inspector with reducing the work of leading exam, checking answer sheets and
producing result. All these work is finished by the machine. All the information is put away on the server.
What’s more, customers can get to these databases and give exam. Here we utilize a customer server model.
35 Executive offer access to instructor and understudies. Understudies who have account on the framework will
have the capacity to give exam. There are two sorts of exam segment Practice and Real test. Understudies can
give both tests. Right answer will be highlighted in diverse shading. Subsequent to submitting test the outcome
will be created and examinations is done on the premise of result and send it to every single understudy.

AIM AND OBJECTIVES

5 The aim is to bring all the student from different discipline and skill sets to one basic management platform
,from where they will be in a position to move in a path of enrichment of knowledge, acquisition of skill and
fine tenement of attitude that takes them to the destination. Some Of The Objectives Are :

 To familiarize with the growth & prosperity environment.

 To provide an opportunity to identify themselves among others.
10  To realize themselves about their level when compared to theexpected levels of the corporate world.
 To identify & explore the capabilities by utilizing their potentials.
 To enhance their confidence to communicate with other.
 To bridge the gap through finalized path of success for their achievement.
 To develop human relationship with a group dynamism.

What is a COMPUTER
Is a device that can be instructed to carry out arbitrary sequences of arithmetic or logical operations
20 automatically. The ability of computers to follow generalized sets of operations, called programs, enables them
to perform an extremely wide range of tasks.

BENEFITS OF COMPUTERS IN EDUCATION

1. Boost collaboration : Internet and networking communication technologies as well as the use of
appropriate applications on PCs have enabled people to effortlessly work across international boundaries.
25 Through the use of collaborative applications, workers can collaborate and work together on assignments and
projects.

2. Effective writing : Through using computers, people are able to write more effectively. The use of various
tools like grammar checker, dictionary and thesaurus reduces the time taken for proofreading written
documents. Furthermore, typing is quicker as compared to writing using a pen and paper. In general,
30 computers allow users to edit, store and print documents, thus enhancing productivity.

3. Better communication : Computers are viewed like the best ways of communication, particularly through
using emails. The emails may consist of both text messages along with attachments. Users can also upload or
download files using computers.
4. Education benefits : In schools, computers offer extensive advantages. They are actually great learning
tools for children. Moreover, some universities now offer online courses, which benefits individuals living in
remote regions and the disabled as well. Online education, which is made possible with computers, is the most
convenient and flexible form of learning.

ONLINE EXAMINATION

Online examination is conducting a test online to measure the knowledge of the participants on a given topic.
In the olden days everybody had to gather in a classroom at the same time to take an exam. With  online
examination students can do the exam online, in their own time and with their own device, regardless where
10 they life. You online need a browser and internet connection.

WHAT IS COMPUTER-BASED TESTING (CBT)?

Computer-Based Testing is a simple and better way to offer the GED 庐 test. It allows testing centers to offer a
more consistent test delivery, faster scoring and reporting, and enhanced test security. Below are some of the
15 component of computer base test (CBT) :

 Computer :A computer is a device that accepts information (in the form of digital data) and manipulates it
for some result based on a program or sequence of instructions on how the data is to be processed.
Complex computers also include the means for storing data (including the program, which is also a form
of data) for some necessary duration. A program may be invariable and built into the computer (and called
20 logic circuitry as it is on microprocessors) or different programs may be provided to the computer (loaded
into its storage and then started by an administrator or user). Today's computers have both kinds of
programming.

 Server A server is a computer program that provides a service to another computer programs (and its
user). In a data center, the physical computer that a server program runs in is also frequently referred to as
25 a server. That machine may be a dedicated server or it may be used for other purposes as well.

 Database Management System :A database management system (DBMS) is a collection of programs that
enables you to store, modify, and extract information from a database. There are many different types of
database management systems, ranging from small systems that run on personal computers to huge
systems that run on mainframes.

SIGNIFICANCES OF COMPUTER IN EXAM

I. SECURITY AND CONFIDENTIALITY : As has been stated before, the security and confidentiality of
an exam are critical if the exam is to retain its value. Prepared exams need to be securely kept. Any
leakage will definitely compromise the standard of the exam and may result to a cancelation or a retake.
5 All these features are well addressed using an online system because not only is the content of the exam
safely locked away in a database, access to the database is only possible with an authorized personnel. A
lot of possibilities are also opened up on exam day as it allows you to conveniently make your own test in
a secure environment. Questions can easily be randomized so that no participants see the same questions
in the same order. Questions can easily be mixed as each new question is added to the system’s database.
10 The questions can then be randomly drawn from the database. This is why most examination bodies have
gradually adopted the online platform.

II. ACCESSIBILITY AND FLEXIBILITY : Exams can be conducted anywhere. All a student needs is a
personal computer with internet connection. A student does not need a long commute to exam venue as
long as these requirements are met. This also means that thousands of students can take the same exams
15 over a wide spread of locations. Gone are days, students move from one region or locality to another in the
name of sitting the examination. A lot of lives have been lost in the process due to accident and other
similar mishaps. In the same vein, examiners also benefit from this. Examiners do not have to bother with
the laborious task of marking exams as this is well taken care of by the system. The system actually marks
each exam and presents the result to the student at the end of the exam. Examiners are also afforded the
20 opportunity to create exam online through an online examination system that can present examinations in
multiple languages. Multiple exams on multiple subjects for multiple courses can also be set. Exams can
also be configured for 24/7 availability. This allows candidates to take exams at their own convenience.

III. COST SAVING : When an exam is placed online, it results in significant cost savings. The cost of paper,
copying, and distribution expenses are all reduced or eliminated. The elimination of paper costs alone is
25 extraordinary. The copying and distribution of assignments to a large class are often unwieldy and
inefficient. Administrators anxious to reduce expenditures are likely to strongly favor the transition from
paper assignments examinations to using online assessment software.

IV. TIME MANAGEMENT : Online examination systems make use of computers that helps in saving time.
With the widespread availability of computers and the internet, there is a general acceptability and
30 endorsement of this system. The lengthy formalities and processes involved in creating question papers,
registering candidates for exams, answer sheet evaluation and declaration of results are completely
eradicated with the online exam system. Each student is timed precisely and all results are generated
instantaneously. In some cases, a candidate may even be able to get an assessment on failed questions.
V. STATISTICAL ANALYSIS : On a statistical point of view, compared data can be stored over time. This
means that different comparative analysis can be done to analyze the outcomes of exams overtime.
Depending on the online exam system used, statistical data can be pulled to analyze different data and
create reports.

SUMMARY
Because of the world on going forward evolution, the Development of Technologyis getting modern in order
to serve human needs. Previously, scientists have invented theway of transportation, which is one of human
needs such as Motorcycles, cars, airplanes. But at the present time, with the modern technology, that have
10 discovered a new way of communication called „Internet‟. Itis not only able to contact in the country but overseas
as well. With its easiness and fast communication, the use of Internet is adoptedby all over the world.
Many people are still skeptical about this idea and whether or not it will have a negative or positive impact on
society. Like it or not, we will eventually reach a point where almost everything we use is connected to the
internet in some way. This will be very useful and can be used to benefit and improve the lives of individuals
15 all across the world. People will be healthier because they will be able to monitor their vitals and eating habits,
as well as be safer
