THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FACE TO FACE and ONLINE CLASSES

Education is a weapon to improve one’s life. In such a competitive world, it is

necessary for all of us to have a good education. It is probably the most important tool
to change one’s life. Education improves one’s knowledge, skills and develops the
personality and attitude. Most noteworthy, Education affects the chances of employment
for people. Indeed that a highly educated individual is probably very likely to get a good
job and great opportunity to make a decent living. Education makes an individual a
better user of technology. Education certainly provides the technical skills necessary for
using technology. Hence, without Education, it would probably be difficult to handle
modern machines. Education teaches the value of discipline to individuals. Educated
people also realize the value of time much more. To educated people, time is equal to
money.

Modern technology is rapidly reforming every industry in the world nowadays,

including the education sector and others. Not only have classrooms around the world
become more modernized with various technology and gadgets to make learning
easier, interesting, and more fun, but technology has also made it possible for young
minds like us to access the global knowledge online. Yes, online class is big nowadays,
and its benefits are being recognized by industry leaders, prominent universities, and
students alike. Online class has its benefits, but is it really better than the face-to-face
classes? The answer surely lies somewhere in the middle, so it’s important that we find
the method that motivates us to study and try our hardest in order to achieve our goals.
It isn’t that tough task to mark a difference between face to face classes and online
class because in terms of approach both the mediums of education don’t have major
differences and both are important. Face to face classes are the basic form of education
wherein the students are present in a real classroom physically interacting with the
teachers and students whereas the latter is the virtual or the online classes is the one in
which the teachers and the students interact with each other and establish a connection
with the help of the internet. Beyond the actual learning experience, students are also
building relationships with their peers when in a group setting. The COVID-19 has
resulted in schools shut all across the world. Globally, over 1.2 billion children are out of
the classroom. As a result, the education has changed dramatically, with the distinctive
rise of online/virtual classes, whereby teaching is undertaken remotely and on digital
platforms. Research suggests that online learning has been shown to increase retention
of information. In online classes we do not have to commute to our school every day.
We don’t need to rush ourselves in the overcrowded buses or taxis, we don’t need to
wake up early in the morning and get ready with those muddy eyes for school and the
biggest point is we save a considerable amount at the end of each year. The flexibility in
the nature of these online schools has made it easy for us students to understand that
every student who comes under the shelf of it. A student gets to listen to his/her lecture
tutorial at any time of the day. Online classes teach an individual the importance of
discipline. When we are studying online, we have to be self-motivated and disciplined to
complete all our homework, projects and activities before the deadlines. Eventually, this
self-motivation and discipline gets in our personality and it stays for the rest of our life.
At the end of the day, discipline is the key to success in online class. In fact, in any field,
we will have to be disciplined so as to thrive in the long run. While some people believe
that the unplanned and rapid move to online classes with no training, insufficient
bandwidth, and little preparation will result in a poor user experience that is unconducive
to sustained growth, others believe that a new hybrid model of education will emerge,
with significant benefits. I believe that the integration of information technology in
education will be further accelerated and that online/virtual classes will eventually
become an integral component of school education. There are, however, challenges to
overcome. Some students without reliable internet access and/or technology really
struggle to participate in online/virtual classes; this gap is seen across countries and
between income brackets within different countries. For example, whilst 95% of
students in Switzerland,Austria, and Norway have a computer to use for their
schoolwork, only 34% in Indonesia do, according to OECD data. In the US, there is a
significant gap between those from privileged and disadvantaged backgrounds: whilst
virtually all 15-year-olds from a privileged background said they had a computer to work
on, nearly 25% of those from disadvantaged backgrounds did not. While some schools
and governments have been providing digital equipment to students in need, such as in
Australia, New South Wales, many are still concerned that the pandemic will widen the
digital divide. Lastly, while studying from home or wherever students may be, there can
be more distractions than usual, especially with family and possibly younger siblings
around. Online classes require less commitment, and thus might mean less buy-in.
Online classes might lead students to falsely think they are ready to progress.

In conclusion, Education is a basic right of every human on this Earth.

Uneducated youth is the worst thing for Humanity. Above all, the governments of all
countries must ensure the spread of education. Sometimes parents dream for their kids
to become a doctor, police officer, teacher, engineer and other high level positions.
There is only one way to all dreams which is good education. Well educated people
make the healthy pillar of the country and lead it ahead in the future. Well for me I still
love to go to school or to have face to face most especially my course is Hospitality
Management we need more practicals to learn and grow. So, education is the tool
which can make every impossible thing possible in life, society and nation either it is in
face to face or online classes the most important thing is we continue to study and help
ourselves and our future by studying even with or without pandemic.
