(1) History
This Service Bulletin is issued further to an operator’s request.
(2) Objective/Action
For the aircraft already equipped with the Data Loading Routing Box (DLRB), this
Service Bulletin consists in the installation of:
- The wiring on the connector, to allow ARINC 615A data loading of the ATSU
(Ethernet high speed). This will allow the operator to use the PDL with ARINC
615A or ARINC 615-3 (low speed) protocols.
(3) Advantages
Accomplishment of this Service Bulletin fulfills the operator’s request.
(4) Operational/Maintenance Consequences
None

C. REASON
(1) History
This Service Bulletin is issued further to an operator’s request.
(2) Objective/Action
For the aircraft already equipped with the Data Loading Routing Box (DLRB), this
Service Bulletin consists in the installation of:
- A connector to enable ARINC 615A data loading of the ATSU, within the
framework of ARINC 615A data loading with the PDL.
For the aircraft not equipped with the DLRB, this Service Bulletin consists in the
installation of:
- The wiring on the connector, to allow ARINC 615A data loading of the ATSU
(Ethernet high speed). This will allow the operator to use the PDL with ARINC
615A or ARINC 615-3 (low speed) protocols.

necessary before incorporation of the Service Bulletin.

(a) Make sure that the aircraft is electrically grounded, refer to Ref. AMM Task 12-34-
24-869-002.
(b) Remove the partition panels (Panel 131CW, Panel 131DW and Panel 132EW)
from the FWD cargo compartment, at Frame 24A for access, refer to Ref. AMM
Task 25-54-11-000-001.

Procedure
(a) Make sure that the external connector(s) is (are) not connected to the aircraft
receptacle(s) EXT PW.
(b) Put the warning notices in position on the external power receptacle to tell
persons not to connect an external power source.
(c) Make sure that the EMER EXIT LT pushbutton switch on the overhead CTL & IND
panel (Electrical Panel 25VU) is set to the OFF position.
(d) In the cockpit, on the ELEC panel (Electrical Panel 35VU), release the BAT
pushbutton switches.
(e) Put a warning notice in position on the ELEC panel (Electrical Panel 35VU) to tell
persons not to operate the batteries.
(f) Put a warning notice in position on the refuel/defuel control panel (Electrical
Panel 800VU) to tell persons not to operate the NORMAL BATTERY switch.
(g) Put a warning notice in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the
Auxiliary Power Unit (APU).
(h) Put a warning notice in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to start ENG 1
and ENG 2.
(i) Disconnect the battery connectors:
1 Do the job set-up procedure as specified in the removal of the batteries,
refer to Ref. AMM Task 24-38-51-000-001.
2 Turn the knurled nut a quarter turn.
3 Disconnect the connectors.
4 Put the blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.

(a) Remove the shelf (Electrical Panel 93VU).
1 Remove and retain SEC-3 (FIN 1CE3) from the shelf (Electrical Panel 93VU)
for access, refer to Ref. AMM Task 27-94-34-000-001.
2 Remove and retain the zone controller (FIN 8HK) (if installed) from the shelf
(Electrical Panel 93VU) for access, refer to Ref. AMM Task 21-63-34-000-
001.
3 Remove and retain LGCIU-1 (FIN 5GA1) from the shelf (Electrical Panel
93VU) for access, refer to Ref. AMM Task 32-31-71-000-001.
4 Put the blanking caps on the disconnected connectors.
5 Disconnect the bonding braid.
6 Remove the attachment hardware from the shelf.

4 Remove and install fasteners in accordance with Ref. SRM 51-42-00.
5 Tag all the parts you must remove and retain to make the subsequent
installation easier.
6 Put all the retained hardware in identified plastic bags and attach the bags
to the related unit.
7 To torque tighten the electrical component fasteners, refer to Ref. AMM
Task 20-21-15-912-001.
(b) Remove the sidewall panels (Panel 212HW, Panel 212JW and Panel 212KW) from
the cockpit for access, refer to Ref. AMM Task 25-13-41-000-002.
(c) Remove the panel from the cockpit in accordance with Ref. SRM 51-42-00 and
refer to Ref. Fig. Removal/Installation of the Access Panel from/in the Cockpit (For
Access).
1 Remove as shown in view A and B:
(e) Remove the right aft console (Electrical Panel 702VU) from the cockpit in
accordance with Ref. SRM 51-42-00 and refer to Ref. Fig. Removal/Installation of
Right Aft Console 702VU from/in the Cockpit (For Access).

(a) Standard Practices
1 For the Frame (FR) identification, refer to Ref. AMM 06-31-53, Page Block
001.
2 For the identification of zones, refer to Ref. AMM 06-20-00, Page Block 001.
3 For the identification of access panels, refer to Ref. AMM 06-41-53, Page
Block 001.
4 For the cable tie application and tooling, refer to Ref. ESPM 20-33-44 and
Ref. ESPM 20-56-51.
5 For the general installation of electrical wire harnesses, refer to Ref. ESPM
20-33-00.
6 Do a check of the electrical connectors before you connect them, refer to
Ref. ESPM 20-52-10.
7 For the protection of the connectors, contacts and terminals, refer to Ref.
ESPM 20-54-50.
8 Put all the retained hardware in identified plastic bags and attach the bags
to the related unit.
9 To install new wires, cut them to the necessary length, attach the terminals
and connect them.
10 Remove and install fasteners in accordance with Ref. SRM 51-42-00.
11 For the installation of placards, refer to Ref. AMM Task 11-00-00-400-002.
(b) Install the connector in the aft electronics rack (Electrical Panel 80VU), refer to

(b) Put the warning notices in position on the external power receptacle to tell
persons not to connect an external power source.
(c) Make sure that the EMER EXIT LT pushbutton switch on the overhead CTL & IND
panel (Electrical Panel 25VU) is set to the OFF position.
(d) In the cockpit, on the ELEC panel (Electrical Panel 35VU), release the BAT
pushbutton switches.
(e) Put a warning notice in position on the ELEC panel (Electrical Panel 35VU) to tell
persons not to operate the batteries.
(f) Put a warning notice in position on the refuel/defuel control panel (Electrical
Panel 800VU) to tell persons not to operate the NORMAL BATTERY switch.
(g) Put a warning notice in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to start the
APU.
(h) Put a warning notice in position in the cockpit to tell persons not to start ENG 1
and ENG 2.
(i) Disconnect the battery connectors:
1 Do the job set-up procedure as specified in the removal of the batteries,

2 Turn the knurled nut a quarter turn.
3 Disconnect the connectors.
