PROPOSED TITLE # 1:
THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MATHEMATICS AND SCIENCE GRADES OF CAMARINES SUR NATIONAL HIGH
SCHOOL JHS STUDENTS IN CHOOSING STEM STRAND IN THE YEAR 2019-2020.

PRACTICE TASK # 3

1. CHOOSE YOUR TOPIC

THE TOPIC THAT I’VED BEEN CHOSEN IS THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN MATHEMATICS AND SCIENCE GRADES OF
CAMARINES SUR NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL JHS STUDENTS IN CHOOSING STEM STRAND IN THE YEAR 2019-2020.

2. MAKE YOUR RESEARCH QUESTION

WHAT IS/ARE THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTOR AFFECTING THE JHS STUDENTS OF CAMARINES SUR NATIONAL HIGH
SCHOOL IN CHOOSING STEM STRAND?

3. CONDUCT A REVIEW OF THE LITERATURE

The Philippines has moved from 10 years of basic education to 12 years of basic education, referred to as the K to 12
Program. Students are able to pick a track of their choice in Senior High School (SHS) in this new curriculum and one of
these is the Academic Track with the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) strand. STEM reported
a significantly low enrollment in the first two years of implementation of the said program. This was the primary issue in
this research. This analysis explored the student interest in mathematics and science in pursuing the STEM strand.

4. CHOOSE YOUR VARIABLES

After reading related literature about this topic, I decided to choose two variables, the first one is the average grade
of math subject of the student and the second one is the avarage grade of science subject of the student.

5. CHOOSE YOUR RELATIONSHIPS

I was able to determine the relationship of math and science grades of jhs students in choosing stem strand.

6. CREATE THE CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK

The average grade of math and The grade requirements of

science of JHS students. choosing STEM strand.

This research will mainly study two variables (a) the average grade of math and science of the jhs studenrs (b) the grade
requirements of choosing STEM strand.

In the research, the average of math and science grades of the students is seen to hold a hypothesized relationship with
the grade requirement of choosing STEM strand. This hypothesized relationship is represented by a one-headed arrow
connecting the two variables.
PROPOSED TITLE # 2:
The effect of Online Learning on Senior High School Grade 12 under HUMSS students of CSNHS in their academic
average in the year of 2020-2021.

PRACTICE TASK # 3
1. CHOOSE YOUR TOPIC

The topic that I’ved been chosen is The effect of Online Learning on Senior High School Grade 12 under HUMSS
students of CSNHS in their academic average in the year of 2020-2021.

2. MAKE YOUR RESEARCH QUESTION

What is/are the most important factor affecting the JHS students of CamHi in choosing STEM strand?

3. CONDUCT A REVIEW OF THE LITERATURE

This research aims to explore and investigate the possible effects of Online Learning to the academic performance and
average of SHS,Grade 12 HUMSS students in CSNHS with the use of survey questions to the respondents. This study was
constructed based on Transactional Distance Theory (TDT) and Bloom’s Taxonomy Theory (BTT). This study was
conducted on 100 students using online learning platforms in SHS students grade 12 under HUMSS strand in the year of
2020-2021. This research utilized a quantitative research method. The model of this research illustrates effects of using
online learning platforms to the students’ academic average.

4. CHOOSE YOUR VARIABLES

After reading related literature about this topic, I decided to choose two variables, the first one is the effect of online
learning of grade 12 HUMSS students and the second one is the academic average of the student.

5. CHOOSE YOUR RELATIONSHIPS

I was able to determine the effect of online learning to the grade 12 students in their academic average in the year of
2020-2021.

6. CREATE THE CONCEPTUAL FRAMEWORK

Effect of Online Learning to grade 12 The Academic Average of grade 12

HUMSS students. HUMSS students in the year of 2020-
2021.

This research will mainly study two variables (a) the average effects of online learning to the grade 12 HUMMS students
(b) the academic average of grade 12 HUMSS students in the year of 2020-2021.

In the research, the effects of online learning to the grade 12 HUMSS students is seen to hold a hypothesized
relationship with the academic average of the students.. This hypothesized relationship is represented by a one-headed
arrow connecting the two variables
