Semi-Detailed Lesson Plan

I. OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:

a. identify the use modal of permission


b. relate the use of modal of permission in real life situations
c. demonstrate understanding of modal of permission through differentiated activities.
d. participate actively in the given activities and exercises.

 The students will be able to understand and ponder upon the value of showing respect
through the use of modal of permission and at the same time the sense of cooperation
through the activities incorporated in the lesson.

III. PROCEDURE

a. Motivation
 The teacher will distribute flashcards to the students and ask them to fill it with
previous experiences when they were scolded upon because they did not ask
permission.
 The teacher will then ask the students to raise their flashcard and share it in the class.

b. Presentation
 The teacher will show a slide from PowerPoint presentation on the definition of
modal verbs and its types namely; permission, obligation and prohibition.
 Emphasis will be on modal of permission as the lesson for the day.
 Value of respect will also be emphasized using modal of permission.

IV. APPLICATION
 The teacher will ask each student to pick a paper from a box and make their sentences
according to the situation shown from the picture in the paper.
