Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Template

Assume that your capstone project title proposal needs maintenance. You should provide at least four
modules of your system and the chapters of your documentation. Fill in the template and discuss if it is
needed on the item. This is individual work. Assume that all of you are the planner and your groupmates
are your team. Save your file as PDF.

PROJECT TITLE: Online Bus Monitoring and GPS Tracking System

A. Project Team
The Project Manager is responsible for creating and managing the project budget and schedule as
well as processes including scope management, issues management and risk management and The
Software Developers (front-end and back-end) are responsible for using the technical requirements
from the Technical Lead to create cost and timeline estimates. The Software Developer also is
responsible for building the deliverables and communicating the status of the software project to the
Technical Lead or Project Manager. And last the project designer is responsible in architecture firms,
construction firms, technology solutions firms, or interior design firms.
Also responsibilities of project designers include the prototypes, sketches, simulations, HTML designs,
flowcharts, etc. The 5% effort is spent on Analysist; 50% for Design, Development and Unit Test;
remaining 25% for testing. Most projects will fit within a 10% variance of this rule of thumb depending
on the nature of the project, knowledge of resources, quality of inputs & outputs, etc. One can add a
project management overhead within these percentages or as an overhead on top within a 10-15%
range.

-Confident driving skills.

-Excellent understanding of the highway code and traffic regulations.

-Patient, responsible, assertive and understanding manner.

-Excellent customer service skills.

Admin
-Strong organizational skills to keep your workspace and the System you manage in order.

Project Team

-Lead and manage the project team.

-Determine the methodology used on the project.

-Establish a project schedule and determine each phase.

-Assign tasks to project team members.

B. Management Approach
Describe the approach to manage your project such as tracking, controlling the project and
information on schedule and project deliverables in entire development of your Capstone
Project. (Base this part on your schedule feasibility).

B.1. Priorities
Describe the approach for determining priorities in entire development of your project. For
example classify which part of your documentation and system that have an issue and it is
difficult to complete it. Describe the procedures for resolving these issues.

B.2. Schedule
Prepare a schedule of all activities involved in the Capstone Development. (Assume that this part
is the Maintenance Plan). Identify the resources required for each activity and provide detailed
schedule (aka Work Breakdown Structure) which includes details of the start/end dates,
deliverables and other aspect. (Include here your schedule feasibility (Gantt chart) deliverables).
