II. Inspection of Ignition System

position, Connect probe + of
volt meter to the terminal of
the ballast resistor to the body.

A. ELECTRONIC/TRANSISTORIZED IGNITION SYSTEM WITH IGNITER

KUNCI KONTAK ON MESIN MATI :


Pada titik “P” diset pada tegangan dibawah operasi transistor dengan menggunakan
R1 & R2 sehingga transistor akan tetap “ OFF “ arus dari primari koil tidak dapat
mengalir

MESIN HIDUP ( ½ PERIODE POSITIF ) :


Jika mesin berputar, signal rotor pada distributor berputar, akibatnya pada pick-up
coil dibangkitkan tegangan. Pada saat dibangkitkan tegangan positif pada pick-up
koil, tegangan tersebut akan ditambahkan pada tegangan yang sudah ada pada titik
“P” sehingga tegangan pada titik “Q” menjadi lebih besar dari tegangan operasi
transistor. Akibatnya transistor menjadi “ON” arus dari primari koil dapat mengalir
melalui colector ke emitor.

MESIN HIDUP ( ½ PERIODE NEGATIF ) :


Pada saat dibangkitkan tegangan negatif pada pick-up koil, tegangan tersebut akan
ditambahkan pada tegangan yang sudah ada pada titik “P” sehingga tegangan pada
titik “Q” turun drastis dibawah dari tegangan operasi transistor. Akibatnya transistor
menjadi “OFF “ arus dari primari koil tidak dapat mengalir melalui colector ke
emitor.
