3. Application
Use only the specific customized AerMend. It is a Repair/Touchup type of tool developed by
Schneller. It offers versatility and efficiency of application because of its quick drying properties.
It is customized to match the color of Schneller’s decorative materials. Before opening the cap,
shake the pen until ball rattles. The rattling steel ball will ensure the paint in the pen is mixed
uniformly. Uncap the pen and pump the felt point tip to start the paint flowing. The amount of
paint flows will depend on the number of pumps. (7) Fill the paint into the repaired edges and
(8)
allow drying. (9) The paint is quick drying and will be dry in <5 min. Note: Drying times vary
with the thickness of the paint coating and environmental conditions.
Optional: Prior to the paint being dry completely, apply a small piece of the similar decorative
laminate onto the repaired surface. Use a nylon roller and transfer the texture onto the repaired
surface. Note: The texturing method is used to reduce gloss level and mimic the original
texture. Texture transfers may vary and are not 100% identical to the original texture.
