Note: For this test, it is highly recommended that you use the Google Chrome1 browser as the audio clips are not
supported in other browser types. For future reference, Google Chrome2 is the most commonly supported browser
within Appen.

1 Guidelines
Please read the following carefully:
• You will hear twenty recordings and you will need to type out exactly what was said in each case
• No punctuation should be used in the test - i.e. NO commas in the middle of a sentence or full stops to
conclude a sentence
• No upper case characters should be used for the beginning of a sentence - i.e. "ese hombre estaba molesto
con el conductor" would be a complete transcription
• Proper nouns should be capitalised (people names, place names, etc) e.g. Australia
• Numbers should be written out as words - e.g. 7 would be written as "siete"
• Important: Your test should be typed using the normal alphabet only. If you need to copy/paste characters
into the text box, make sure that they are copied only from a plain text editor (e.g., Notepad) in order to
avoid formatting problems. (Formatting problems will result in an error message and will not save your
transcription.)
