Memorial house-museum of N. D. Zelinsky.


The museum consists of four rooms. In the first hall, according to the typological
principle, the exposition reproduces the atmosphere of the Zelinsky house, as well as the
childhood of the scientist before moving to Odessa. The exposition of the second hall tells
us about the life of Nikolai Zelinsky in Odessa, and then about his studies and scientific
activities in Germany, Moscow and St. Petersburg. The third room displays exhibits
telling about the second Moscow period (1917-1953), as well as materials telling about
social and scientific work in Soviet times. The exposition of the fourth hall is dedicated to
the students of N.D. Zelinsky, who continued his work, as well as materials dedicated to
the memory of the great scientist.

Bendery fortress.
Bendery Fortress is an architectural monument of the 16th century located on the right
bank of the Dniester River in the city of Bendery, Transnistria.
The construction of the fortress began in 1538 after Bender had entered the Ottoman
Empire, according to the design of the Turkish architect Sinan.
In November 2012, the Museum of Medieval Instruments of Torture was opened on the
territory of the fortress. The museum's exhibits are fake samples of torture instruments
and devices.
Bendery fortress together with Old Orhei presented Moldova in the book "100 most
beautiful and amazing places of the USSR".

Nature

State reserve "Yagorlyk".


Yagorlyk is a state reserve located in the Dubossary region of the Republic, in the lower
reaches of the Yagorlyk River, flooded because of the construction of the Dubossary
hydroelectric station. Because of flooding, the picturesque Goyanskiy Bay was formed.
The only nature reserve in Transnistria. The reserve was created for the preservation of
unique, endemic communities and plant species, the protection of ichthyofauna and other
groups of biota in the Middle Dniester basin.
Cycling tourism.

There is a cycling club "Pokatushki" in Tiraspol, which is engaged in cycling tourism in


Transnistria, Ukraine and Moldova. They regularly hold one-day or multi-day bike rides
along various routes and timed to coincide with festive events in the country, for
example, the Day of Russia, the 70th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic
War, the action "I am a Pridnestrovian". Cycling festivals have been held in Tiraspol for
several years in a row.

Religious tourism

Recently, more and more tourists have become interested in religious tourism in
Transnistria. Therefore, the Kitskansky Monastery, which was closed during the Soviet
period and reopened in 1990, became a place of constant pilgrimage and excursions. In
addition, new churches of different confessions are being restored and built in the
republic.

Event tourism

The international festival of arts "Martishor" is held in the republic every year from
March 1-10. Celebration of "Martishor" and the opening of the eponymous arts festival
takes place in all cities and regions of Transnistria.

The festival of wine "Dulce-i vinul" is taking place in Transnistria. At the festival you
can see and purchase the products of the Tiraspol wine and brandy factory "KVINT" and
the Dubossary factory "Buket Moldavii". You can also taste the participants' homemade
wine. At the same time, the festival sells grapes, honey and pastries.
