TOP SIGHTS IN BAKU
First of all, hello friends. Today I will tell you about many interesting places to
visit and see in our beautiful city of Baku. Thanks for your valuable time.
St. Maryam's Catholic Church
■ This time I will tell you about the Zira eco park, which is
famous for its beautiful nature, clean air and quiet
environment. Kin-kong, blue cypress, leylandra, lysidium,
gawra, lavender, green taflan, snowball, china rose,
geranium, autumn rose - have you ever seen these flowers
live? To closely observe these exotic plants and get
interesting information about them, you can go to the Eco
park located in Zira settlement. Here you can also get
acquainted with carpet weaving, which is an integral part
of our national culture. You can not only watch carpets
typical of the Absheron school, but also learn how to
weave them. There are different studios, gymnastics and
dance halls, as well as a 3D cinema hall. There is no better
weekend offer for the whole family, especially children.
Heydar Aliyev Center
■ Heydar Aliyev Center is one of the places that will inform you even more if
you visit and see. The Heydar Aliyev Center is a research and international
dialogue center built on Heydar Aliyev Avenue in Baku, the capital of
Azerbaijan. The center consists of a large complex and includes a large
congress hall, the Heydar Aliyev Museum, exhibition halls, and administrative
offices. The center is named after Heydar Aliyev, the third president of
Azerbaijan. The project of the center was developed in 2007 by the famous
architect Zaha Hadid. The director of the Heydar Aliyev Center is Anar
Alakbarov. The center is considered one of the symbols of modern Baku.
Here are the exhibitions that attract my attention the most. Because the
exhibitions reflect both historical and cultural demonstrations. I will tell you
about the exhibition "Welcome to Azerbaijan". This exhibition is located on
the 3rd floor of the Center. Exhibits related to the history, culture, art and
nature of Azerbaijan are exhibited here. Visitors to the exhibition can see
photos of natural and architectural monuments located in different regions
of Azerbaijan. Here you can get acquainted with Momina Khatun tomb, Kish
church, Shirvanshahs palace complex, Yanardag and other sights in
Nakhchivan.
Baku Book Center
■ The next place I will tell you about is the Baku Book Center.
It always awaits those who love literature with its pleasant
aura and warm environment. The Baku Book Center was
officially declared open on September 1, 2018. The Baku
Book Center, which was created with the initiative and
support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and started
selling books with a completely different concept, has
Azerbaijani, Russian, Turkish, English, French, German,
books in many genres are presented in Arabic and other
languages. The main goal of the Baku Book Center is to
arouse readers' interest in books that carry the cultural,
spiritual values and useful knowledge of the people.
And finally, the place I will tell you about is the Alley of Martyrs. If you are really interested in the
city of Baku, if you want to see it so much, you should be interested in how Baku has come to
these days, how Baku has become. When you first see the Alley of Martyrs, you will only see a
grave. But if you look carefully, in those graves you will see the history of Baku, not only of
Baku, but also of Azerbaijan. Our martyrs in those graves are the people who sacrificed their lives
and blood so that we can live comfortably in Baku, so that we can visit Baku, in short, the city of
Baku will be Baku. In my opinion, people who want to visit Baku should definitely come here.
THANK YOU FOR
YOUE ATTENTION.
