Role Play about Drug Administration

A patient comes to the pharmacy to get the medicine. The patient gets queue number 50
and is waiting for the cashier to call him to get the receipt for the medicine at the
pharmacy.

Situation I : Pasient already contact the cashier


Pharmacist : Good afternoon. How may I help you?
Patient : Good afternoon. My name is Regita. I would like to give my medical
prescription from dr. Bambang
Pharmacist : May I see the medical prescription?
Patient : Yes. Here you are.
Pharmacist : Alright. Please wait a minute and please have a seat. I’ll process your
medical prescription.
Patient : Thank you.
Pharmacist : you are welcome

Situation II : Calling patient to get their medicine


Pharmacist : Mrs Asiyah , please
Hello, Mrs. Please check your name again, is it correct?
Patient : Yes, it is true. I am Asiyah
Pharmacist : Here you are. 
Patient : Thanks. How should I use them? 
Pharmacist : You need to take this one three times a day one hour before meal. 
Patient : Okay. How about these pills? 
Pharmacist : Those are antibiotics. You need to take them three times a day after meal.
You have to finish them all.
Patient : Okay. 
Situation III : Ask about side effects
Patient : How about the side effects? 
Pharmacist : Well, maybe you will feel the symptoms like cause drowsiness,
dizziness, nausea and vomiting. 
Patient : what if i forget to take the medicine?
Pharmacist : if it is still within 6 hours of taking the medicine schedule, the missed
dose of the drug should be taken as soon as possible and if it is past 6
hours you should take the medicine as scheduled and do not double the
dose.
Patient : Yes, I got it.
Pharmacist : Please call Dr. Bambang if you don’t feel better. And if the medicine has
run out, you can come here two weeks later.
Patient : I will.

Situation IV : Patient pays the drug to the pharmacist


Pharmacist : Is there anything else I can help you with? 
Patient : No, that is all. 
Pharmacist : Very well. This is the bill. It’s Rp. 250.000. 
Patient : Can I pay by credit card? 
Pharmacist : I’m sorry. We’ll take payment by cash only. 
Patient : It’s okay. Here’s the money. 
Pharmacist : Thank you. Here’s the receipt and the medicine 
Patient : Thank you
Pharmacist : you are welcome, Get well soon.
Patient : Thanks.
