MODULE 3: THE HUMAN PERSON AS AN EMBODIED SPIRIT

Activity 1. Answer the following questions.

1. What are your limitations as a person? What are the things that you consider
as difficult or hard for you to accomplish or believe in?

For me, my limitations are being exhausted. Because being exhausted


every time makes me vulnerable at all times either emotional or physical and it
limits what I can do every it made me weak. The things that I consider as difficult
or hard for me to accomplish or believe in, when my plans to accomplish
something was failed most likely it will become harder to get track of it.

2. What are your strengths? What are the possible things or status that you can
reach or achieve in the future?

God is my source of strength, everytime I at my limit always Him whom I


called, and my family they are the reason why I am keeping my strength, my
friends even though I’m not saying anything they always check I’m ok or not.
The possible things or status that I can/want to reach or achieve in the future
are: I want to reach every goal that I want and repay all the people help me
when I’m at my limit.

3. What are the factors affecting your limitations? How about possibilities?

The factors affecting my limitations is my mind and body, because my


body is easily to get tired even though I’m only sitting at the chair and it hard to
keep it up when my mind getting tired to, I wish I’m always have energy then I
will be limitless.

4. Do you see yourself improving in 5 – 10 years’ time? How can you say that
you are improving?

I am a goal digger, a person motivated by intention. I've always striven for


quality and perfection. And part of my commitment is to ensure that I am still
progressing little by little. And knowing how particular I am about my
improvement, I can certainly guarantee that in 5 to 10 years, I would be an even
better person. Since I believe that I am progressing and I am learning from
everything I do, and with any situation, I still make sure that I do not repeat as
many of the mistakes I have made before.
5. How can you transcend from your current limitations?
I can transcend from my current limitations from improving and keep
practicing myself, If I'm going to be a better person than I am now, I will
overcome my present limitations.

Activity 2. Complete the chart by rewriting your present limitations with


reference to your answers in the previous activities. Make an action plan
towards transcendence.

THE HUMAN PERSON IN THEIR ENVIRONMENT

Activity 3. Interview a person who is 45-60 year old. Be guided by the following
questions:

1. What are the things that you remember in your environment when
you were my age?
When my father was at my age, my memories of the children are as much
a pressure and fear for their parents and they getting slap 2x2 wooden stick if
they be naughty because, unlike some kids today, they don't fear their parents
any longer.
2. What are the things that you like doing when you were young?
The things that my father like doing when he was young is when he always
read and study, because he wants to achieve her goal.

3. What are the positive and negative changes in the environment?


He said that having new technologies has a positive and negative effects
on the climate, which is one of the improvements that has taken place before.
The positive effect of these improvements is that you can quickly communicate
with other friends and loved ones using apps, but the negative effect is that
other people always rely on technology and it make students lazy than the old
times.

4. Do you think environment play a vital role in a person’s development? Why or


why not?
Yes, because it affects a person's environment, because the attitude, the
personality, and the way you interact with others will mirror the environment as
you grow up.

Activity 4. After conducting the interview, the whole class will be instructed to
write the summary of their findings where the following questions are answered:

1. What have I learned from the person I interviewed?


I have learned that technology is getting more efficient and a lot of job will
be replacing my it and we need a peaceful environment my father was
beating me using belt when I am 10 years old I though my father was
angry to me but when I learn this person’s environment I understand.

2. How do I feel about the things that I learned?


I feel good. Learning everyday is cool.

3. Will this knowledge gained from the interview help me in understanding


the role of the environment in my development as a person?
Yes.
FREEDOM OF THE HUMAN PERSON

Activity 5. As a Senior High School student, you have made some important life
decisions in the past. Identify the major decisions in your life and explain the
consequences of those particular decisions.

As a senior high school student, even as a youth, I've made important


decisions about life in the past. That is letting go someone because it affecting
me and my mental health even though he was my very best friend I got to let go.
I learn that you got to let go some for you to grow if that has negative effect on
you because it slowing you to grow more.
