Sirimbone
La Sirimbone is a kind boy. He lives with his mother, wa Roe. His father died
when he was a child. One day, a cloth trader from La Patamba Village came to meet
them.
With the blessing of the village elders, Wa Roe finally agreed to marry La
Patamba. Moreover, La Patamba promised to love La Sirimbone like his own child.
However, after getting married, La Patamba apparently broke his promise. He asked
Wa Roe to throw his son into the forest. Wa Roe was heartbroken, but she did not
dare to refute her husband's request.
After the death of his mother, La Sirimbone continued his journey into the forest.
After several days of walking, he found footprints. Not Just any footprint, the
footprints were enormous.
"Wow, what creature has legs this big?" said La Sirimbone to himself. He then
followed the footprints, and he arrived at a very large house.
"Hey, who are you a human child? How did you get here? " asked the giant in
surprise.
With fear, La Sirimbone recounts its origins. It turned out that the giant was a kind
giant. He felt sorry for La Sirimbone and allowed him to stay there. He said, “La
Sirimbone, you can stay here, but you have to be careful. There are many jinn and
wild animals here that can harm you. Better yet, you don't have to go anywhere. Just
stay home. "
"Forgive son of man, let go of me. In exchange for the fish I have stolen, accept this
ring. This ring can heal the sick and raise the dead, "he said.
La Sirimbone accepted the ring and let the genie go. Then he went back to the giant
woman's house. When he was crossing a river, he saw a pig walking on the
water. Curious, he asked, "Dear pig, how can you walk on water?"
The pig then showed the amulet of his necklace, "With this necklace, you can walk
on water. If you want, you can have it. I no longer need it, "replied the pig.
With joy, La Sirimbone accepted. After that he continued his journey. Not long after,
he met a fisherman who was catching fish.
“Wow, you caught lots of fish. That's great, ”said La Sirimbone. "I use an heirloom
keris, son. This keris can stab by itself if ordered, ”replied the fisherman. Long story
short, the nelayon also gave La Sirimbone his own keris.
Since having these three heirlooms, La Sirimbone has often helped people. He
healed the sick, raised the dead yong, and caught game and distributed it to the
needy. Now, the female giant no longer worries for La Sirimbone's safety.
One day, while La Sirimbone was taking a walk to a neighboring village, he heard a
girl's voice crying.
"Hi, my name is La Sirimbone. If I may know, why are you crying? " he asked.
The girl named Wa Ngkurorio replied, “Soon I will die. My seven brothers died from
being eaten by a dragon. Today is my turn. "
La Sirimbone smiled, “Don't worry. I will help you. I will kill the dragon with my
pusako keris, "he said.
Sure enough, that afternoon, the dragon came and was ready to eat Wo
Ngkurorio. The girl trembled. She was terrified. But La Sirimbone calmed him
down. Calmly, he whispered giving the order to his hero dagger to stab the
dragon. In an instant, the keris stabbed the dragon's stomach and tore its stomach.
The dragon died instantly. Wa Ngkurorio was very amazed to see this incident, as
were his parents and all the villagers. They are very grateful because La Sirimbone
has succeeded in eliminating the evil dragon that has been disturbing the
residents. Thanks to La Sirimbone's help, the village was safe.
