Business Name
The business name which is the Best Filling refers to the idea of having the best
"feeling" through diving in the flavors of "filling" inside the bread. The business will introduce a
variety of flavors which customers do not usually encounter, it will revolve around the savory
vegetables and sweet fruits. Best Filling is inspired by doughnuts but making it healthier and still
keeping the good qualities of soft, heaven like, bread. The business wants to investigate if
innovating loved and known foods, like doughnuts, into a nutritional snack will be a helpful way
to promote healthy eating especially in times of COVID-19 Pandemic.
Business Tagline
The proposed business is formalized with regards to the interest of the future customer
adapting to the current situation of the world where health is wealth. The product itself delivers a
whole savory vegetable and sweetness of fruits filling enclosed within the soft and tasty dough,
flavorful but will be offered at an affordable price. In short, business offers customers healthy
food that will be enjoyed not only for adults but also for the young ones.
Business Logo
Best filling has a logo for its own identity that corresponds to its features and goals. The
circle in the logo is known as a universal symbol with extensive meaning, representing the
notions of totality, wholeness and original perfection of the product that will be offered. The logo
has a combination of five noticeable colors— brown, orange, green, red and yellow. Half of the
logo resembles the inspiration of the proposed snack, Best filling, which aims to provide an
innovation of the people’s favorite― doughnut. It is filled with light brown in order to represent
the softness of the bread. On the other hand, the rest of the circle represents the overflowing
filling that is enclosed within the dough and it is divided into four different colors (green, orange,
yellow, red) as it symbolizes the flavor of the savory vegetable and sweet fruits. The text that
surrounds the circle introduces and creates insight and expression so the customer will know
that to expect.

Best filling offers nutritional products that aims to provide an exceptional customer
experience by developing snacks with a unique twist that will exceed their expectations and
satisfy their taste buds. And to delight and nourish our customers by providing healthy, high-
quality, and flavorful food, as well as excellent service at an affordable price.
Business Location
The location of the Best Filling can be found in a commercial unit around Ortigas, Pasig
City. The site’s space or dimension is 54 sqm. It is exactly addressed at Oasis Hub B Ortigas
Avenue Extension, Brgy. Sta Lucia, Pasig City.
The location costs forty thousand a month for 54sqm floor area. It is a good offer
knowing that it is located at Ortigas Avenue which is running from eastern Metro Manila to
western Rizal and one of the busiest highways in Metro Manila. The place will be designed
according to the business’ needs and execute properly what the business owners desire.

Filling observed this factor in choosing a location.

community and identifying existing competition. Choosing an area that already has a ripe

nearby competitors who also offer pastries, especially doughnuts, but the market is not

so it is not going to make the marketing job tougher but build a good competition within
the vicinity.

Best Filling takes consideration in the cost of occupying rental property during a
reporting period. Its rent expense contemplation is balanced towards the benefits of
being in a prime area. Forty thousand per month is already an average offer for its
dimension which is 54sqm. It may seem expensive for its dimension but it is quite
reasonable as it is a commercial unit and has high foot traffic, accessible, in front of

The figure is a graph of the Total population within the cities of National Capital Region
District II from year 2005 to 2020. The total households will be used to forecast the demand for
the years 2021 to 2025.

In determining the total number of demands for Best Filling, an online survey was
conducted. The survey intends to know the possible consumers for Best Filling.
The figure B7 shows that 57.5% or more than the half of the respondents had already
tried the donuts with healthy fillings like savory vegetable and sweet fruits. It was conducted to
determine the familiarization of the respondents towards the product and to have an initial idea
of business position in the market. Figure B8 represents how respondents see the product, even
though some of them already knew the concept― 79% still see it as a healthy innovation of
doughnuts. This will be used as a factor to filter the population which will be the basis of
demand projection following the business envisioned for customers which is to find comfort in
healthy foods.
The results of Figure B10 show that 84% of the respondents will definitely try the healthy
innovation of doughnuts proposed by Best Filling and 16% are having second thoughts to try it.
Overall, there is 91.98% or 92% total demand based from the survey. It will also be a factor
used to initially filter the population for demand projection.

The distribution of products of Best Filling will have its minor expansion through the city
of Taguig in its third year and Manila for the fourth year. These two cities have a large
population and a good start for expanding the business since it is also located near the business
location, for the fifth year as the Best Filling prospers― a major expansion will be done. The
population of remaining cities in National Capital Region will be used to forecast the fifth year.

Best Filling sells the products because its focus is to give everyone an experience of the
delightful texture and taste of nutritious doughnuts.

decided to focus on three categories:

There will be customers that can afford the high-end products and
services. However, there will also be other consumers who are only able to
stretch to the lower versions of those products and services at a much affordable
price. We will ensure that we must be able to satisfy the needs and wants of
every customer by providing varieties of products.
● Lifestyle
It is important that we include the lifestyle of our potential customers. We
must know whether these people prefer simple products that are affordable, or
whether they prefer paying additional premium for luxurious items. Our business
is about promoting healthy lifestyle, we will make sure that they will feel it through
our products. We will also solidify our knowledge about their preferred product
brands as part of our customer profiling.
● Purchase History
Understand the buyer’s behavior with the use of data regarding his or her
past and present purchases. We will be aware to what products they buy and the
exact volume of the purchase. This will surely help us create a customer loyalty

The Best Filling offers two variety of sweet fruits and savory vegetables filled
doughnut, a classic doughnut style and a fudge bar style which is designed for
distribution in retail channel since it has longer shelf-life than the classic one. Each
variety will have four flavors of sweet fruits and savory vegetables doughnut based from
the respondents’ response on the survey which are mango, strawberry, avocado, peach
for the fruits and malunggay, kalabasa, carrots and potato for the vegetables.
Nutritional Contents:
Bread and doughnuts are filled with vegetables and fruits that are extremely
nutritious and contain various vitamins and minerals that are beneficial to your health.
These include vitamins A (beta-carotene), C and E, magnesium, zinc, phosphorous and
folic acid.
Benefits:
Healthy and acts as a good help in boosting the immune system which fight
against disease, especially now that we are in the midst of a pandemic.
Food Quality:
The bread and doughnuts are in a fudgee bar style and a classic style. These

placed upon purchasing. A eco-friendly packaging and promotes a greener nation.
The Best Filling bag is a take home bags where the take home box will be placed in a
paper bag in order to handle properly. The use of paper bag promotes a greener lifestyle and
preventing environmental hazards that can destroy the environment.

The layout is tactically designed to support the smooth process of the proposed
business (Best Filling). The storage is a place where all finished products that are ready to
distribute at retail channel are stored, stock of ingredients also lies in this section. There would
be a business office area which will cater to business related transactions. The bakery will be
the place for the customer to purchase the finished products of Best Filling, also, there will be
sets of chairs and tables for customer that want to dine in. The baking area will be the area
where the raw materials will be transformed into bread by the bakers of the Best Filling. A toilet
room is also present in the layout for private accessing the sanitation fixture for urination and
defecation, and other important personal hygiene exclusive for the staff of the business and its
customer.
Bakery/Store
This is a proposed perspective view of the Best Filling bakery. This is where the
healthy innovated donuts will be displayed and with a relaxing design which mimics the
classy style of usual café. Its intention is to find comfort at the store and at the products
offered itself.
Baking Area
This is a proposed perspective view design of where the Best Filling’s products
will be produced and be done.
Office
This is a proposed perspective view design of where the manager of the Veggie
Bread will be in office and the business transactions will be held here.
Toilet
This is the perspective view of toilet room; it may be small but it has complete
equipment and can cater the sanitation fixture for urination and defecation, and other
important personal hygiene.

Manufacturing Process
Manufacturing process refers to the way of turning raw materials or parts into finished
goods through the use of tools, human labor, machinery, and chemical processing.
Manufacturing is a value-adding process allowing businesses to sell finished products at a
higher cost over the value of the raw materials used. It is a value-adding process allowing

since it will be distributed through retail channel which includes groceries and
supermarkets, by this we can produce a large variety of doughnut and bread with

the freedom to work on unique configurations with little trouble.
We used a demand-pull system in the other variety of our product which will
be distributed through direct channel; the quantity produced is sufficient to match
current demand. Utilizing a pull mechanism eliminates waste in our organization
because no overproduction happens. Additionally, it frees up the workspace and
lowers the expense of holding surplus goods.
On the other hand, a pull system operates backward, beginning with the
customer's order and ending with visual signals prompting action in each previous
phase of the process. The product is pulled through the manufacturing process by
the consumer's demand.
Inventory Management
Our company used FIFO for one of the varieties of product which is fudgee bar
style and because this will be distributed through retail channel, it is ideal for
precisely reflecting the actual current worth of our goods. This means the material
that remains in our inventory after-sales will be the most recent or fresh
merchandise.
One example of a company model that the FIFO approach fits deals with
perishable items. A bakery produces things that expire after a specified time and
either become inedible or lose their worth; hence FIFO makes considerable sense. If
we track our costs under a FIFO approach, it will be accurate about which batches
have been sold.
The inventory management technique our company will use is the "Just-in-
time" model. Since our company will distribute the other variety of product through
direct channel and in restaurant type of set up, this technique will help our business
where deliverables are produced to meet the actual demands and avoid overstocking
and push strategies. In this technique, a work item has to be in a process only if
there is a demand.
JIT helps us focus on resolving issues that influence our company's overall
effectiveness in reaching its strategic goals, such as setup time reduction, quality
improvement, enhanced production processes, and waste removal, rather than
permitting extra inventory to mask inefficiencies that lower our business

The business will be registered and licensed in Pasig City. Cash Investment will be the
capitalization of the business. The six partners are: John Butch Russel C. Alaurin, Jerwin S.
Ramos, Kyla A. Gasparillo, Diana Mikaela G. Lambit, Christine Joy Menil, and Amala Jamila
Yrisarry.
Capitalization
The source of capitalization and financing for the operation of the business is mainly from the
partner’s own money. A total of PHP 9,000,000.00 will be the total contribution. Each proponent
will contribute an amount of PHP 1,500,000.00.

The sales department consists of a set of business activities and processes that
help a sales organization run effectively, efficiently and in support of business strategies
and objectives. The sales department generally includes sales, sales support or business
operations. This department will also directly report to Logistics Department and Finance
Department.

A marketing department promotes your business and drives sales of its products or
services. It provides the necessary research to identify your target customers and other
audiences. This department includes implementation of marketing programs and
continuously evaluation of the effectiveness of marketing-mix. It also has to remove the
deficiencies observed in the actual execution of marketing plans, policies, and procedures.
