I. EXECUTIVESUMMARY
We started our business plan as a method to benefit from our enthusiasm
while also providing others in our area with a safe and consumer-friendly
facility to acquire rice while adhering to the COVID-19 safety procedures in
Camarin, Caloocan City.

“Sun Rice” aims to establish a business of selling rice to consumers, and

creating convenience by being an agricultural business in our area that
delivers rice for the consumers to get rice without leaving at the comfort of
their homes.

We present this business plan to be able to see the potential of our

business even in this time of pandemic, and for the convenience and safety of
everyone to this time of pandemic of COVID-19, to lessen the spread and
maintain the economic activity in our area.

II. BUSINESS PROFILE

a. Business name and description

Sun Rice is a rice retailing business that offers and delivers high quality
and affordable rice varieties that you can choose from at low cost. It serves to
deliver rice to costumers as well as to sell rice to the costumers within the
area of Camarin, Caloocan City.
b. Mission, Vision and Objectives

Mission
 We are constantly improving to be more innovative and convenient rice
retailers for us to deliver our own quality and affordable rice varieties
without having our customers leave the house.

Vision
 Our vision is that all our services should be run conveniently and
consistently and be the first choice when it comes to delivering rice.

Objectives
 To provide easy access to purchasing rice be it near or from afar.
 Target markets that have low agricultural goods.
 To extend our business by having many branches in different areas.
 To lessen the areas needing accessibility to rice shops.

III. OPPORTUNITY
a. Problem worth solving
Since Filipinos are known as rice consumers, rice became the basic
needs of Filipinos in everyday lives. The ongoing pandemic of coronavirus
disease 2019 has caused fear and panic among customers to buy their
needs. Customers are very wary when buying rice since they don’t want
them and the rice to be infected with virus and they want to eat it safely.

b. Our Solution
We will deliver our rice varieties straight to their homes safely. We will also
have our rice checked before we pack it to make sure that it is COVID-free
and safe to eat. We will also make sure that the person who will deliver
the rice is COVID-free to lessen the concerns of our customers.

c. Validation of problem and solution

A lot of people are scared to go out to buy their necessity and that
includes buying rice. We conducted a survey online to see what they
prefer when it comes to buying rice. 8 out of 10 people prefer to buy and
have their rice delivered to their homes because they said it was safer
than buying rice personally since they don’t want to be infected with virus.
d. Roadmap or Future Plans
In order to be in business and to grow, we must continue to sell the well
processed and well packaged rice that are available in our store which is
why we will go all out to empower our sales and marketing team to deliver.
In the Philippines, online shopping is one of the most popular online
activities that Filipinos do therefore creating an online shopping platform
will satisfy the needs of the market. Users can browse shop and sell rice
on a mobile centric marketplace or a website tailored to provide customers
with an easy, secure and fast online shopping experience through logistic
support. Sun Rice aims to continually enhance its platform and become
the region's e-commerce destination of choice.

IV. MARKET ANALYSIS SUMMARY

a. Market Segmentation
Geographic
Urban/city areas where the agriculture is usually scarce and areas that
have access at least to internet or telephone call.
Demographic
People who work from home due to the current pandemic are one of the
target especially to promote our delivery service.
Psychographic
People who prefer talking or texting through internet or call, people who are
scared of going outside due to the current pandemic and people that normally
doesn’t want to speak face to face when purchasing.

b. Target Market Segment Strategy
Market needs

Market Trends
The major trend that will affect the Market growth is the Agricultural Trend,
the business will contribute to having more agricultural businesses in our
target market, resulting in increase in growth for the rice businesses.

Market Growth
By initiating the business, The Target market benefits by an addition to
agricultural business of the location, increase of independent economy and
lessens the competition and provides choices especially to selling rice to
consumers.

e. Company history and ownership

The owner was the one who came up with the idea of establishing a rice
retail shop. All four of us are acquaintances since highschool days. We
decided to try establishing our own business. All of us suggested different
ideas until we end up with the conclusion of establishing a rice retail shop.
The product is simple and easy to find suppliers, no need for knowledge
about using raw materials for mass producing and it's one of the major
needs of people for their daily lives. The owner was a major in business
administration so we decide that she will be the owner.

Ownership
General partnership- All five of us contributes to the business with a higher
authority due to being founders of the business each having our own
assigned positions with a few employees for delivery and trusted long term
rice supplier.
