introduction

Musical fountain is a combination of the main elements of music (frequency, amplitude, pitch and rhythm) and pattern combination to control the fountain, water column

height, distance change and light color combination and brightness change. Musical fountain is the use of modern artificial fountain control technology. It is a combination of

program-based musical fountain control system, which changes through the combination of water and light musical fountain control, so as to realize the combination of light and

color, the mood of music, and the effect of the fountain. Vivid and rich performance connotation.

With the development of programmable control technology, programmable controller and frequency converter technology play an irreplaceable role in the field of

fountain control. Even using a small PLC frequency converter for the music fountain control system, it can realize the control of fountain lights, water pumps, simple wiring,

multi-point combination of programming, music rhythm and emotion, and running water lights, which is suitable for the pursuit of fashionable home life and entertainment. At

present, the real-time control is the most common in the control of musical fountains.

The small PLC music fountain control system is based on the application prospects in real life and is worthy of promotion. In the design process, a

programmable controller is used to realize the control of the musical fountain. Especially in the field of fieldbus and industrial automation control network

opened up a new space for development. The design of PLC and its peripheral equipment is based on the principle that it is easy to form an integrated industrial

control system and to facilitate the expansion of functions.

Taking into account the control complexity of the music fountain system, if relay control is used, its control reliability is poor. If PLC control is adopted, PLC is controlled

by program, which is a kind of soft connection, which greatly improves the reliability. The programmable controller is the control core of the musical fountain, and the

programmable controller is the "brain" of the whole system. The switching quantity converts the music frequency to control the changes of the fountain and the flashing lights

are realized through programs. The programmable controller simplifies the control circuit, improves the working speed and the reliability and flexibility of the system operation,

and also enhances the automation and intelligence of the fountain project.

1. Introduction to PLC basic knowledge

Programmable controller is an electronic system for digital operation, which is designed for application in industrial environment. It uses a type of

programmable memory for user-oriented instructions such as internal storage of programs, execution of logical operations, sequence control, timing, counting

and arithmetic operations, and controls each of them through digital and analog input and output. Types of machinery or production processes. Programmable

controllers and related peripherals should be designed on the principle of being easy to connect with industrial control systems as a whole and easy to expand

their functions."

The characteristics of PLC: Industrial control computer with a special structure, compared with ordinary computers, has a stronger interface that can be connected with

industrial processes, and at the same time, it has a programming language suitable for control requirements is the essence of programmable controllers. Programmable

controller is a technology that organically combines computer technology and electrical control technology. Its characteristics are mainly reflected in: high reliability, strong anti-

interference; simple programming, easy to use; easy to install, debug, and maintain; complete functions and strong versatility; small size and low energy consumption.

2. Inverter basics

2.1 Overview of the frequency converter

The functional device that realizes the conversion of alternating current with constant voltage and frequency into alternating current with variable voltage or frequency is called "frequency converter". The

converter is the power converter of the power electronic device to convert the power supply of various frequencies into the AC power supply of various frequencies to realize the use of the variable frequency speed control

motor, and the power converter of the motion control system.

2.2 Classification of frequency converters

(1) Classified according to output voltage adjustment mode: ①PAM mode; ②PWM mode; ③PWM mode with high carrier frequency and variable

frequency [7].

(2) Classified by control method: ①Voltage/frequency control; ②Slip frequency control; ③Vector control. (3) Classified by purpose: ①General

-purpose inverter; ②High-performance dedicated inverter; ③High-frequency inverter; ④Small inverter

Device.

2.3 The working principle of the frequency converter

The frequency converter converts the power frequency power to other frequency AC power to meet the needs of AC motor frequency conversion speed regulation. The

main frequency conversion method used by the frequency converter is AC-DC-AC. The DC power is converted from the power frequency current through the rectifier, and then

the AC power whose frequency and voltage can be controlled by the DC conversion is supplied to the motor. The circuit of the frequency converter is composed of four parts:

rectifier, DC link, inverter and control circuit. The working process of the frequency converter: One is to convert alternating current into direct current, and then use electronic

components to make direct current into alternating current. The frequency converter is generally assembled into a device with adjustable frequency with a thyristor, so that the

frequency can be adjusted, thereby regulating the number of revolutions of the motor and changing the number of revolutions. General rectifier circuit, smoothing circuit,

control circuit, inverter circuit and other parts constitute its conversion circuit. The basic structure of the inverter is shown in Figure 2.

4
3 Overall introduction of the system

The PLC and inverter mainly complete the control process of the musical fountain-the frequency signal of the music controls the PLC; the realization of the change of the pump speed

depends on changing the control frequency of the pump motor, and then uses the change of the pump speed to control the height change of the water column of the musical fountain. The above

process is realized The process of controlling the fountain by music changes. The frequency converter receives the music signal processed by the PLC, and outputs alternating current with different

frequencies, which changes the water spray state of the water pump, and realizes that the water spray of the fountain presents different forms with the music level. At the same time, the colorful

lights are controlled by PLC to realize the synchronous change of the colorful lights and the rhythm of the music.

3.1 Composition of Musical Fountain

3.1.1 Music fountain pool design

The design of this small musical fountain is as follows: nozzles are divided into three groups, with nine nozzles on the outer ring and six nozzles on the middle ring. The diameter of the

nozzles of the two circles is 0.5mm. The two circles of nozzles are powered by a 12W submersible pump. Provide power; there is only one central main sprinkler in the inner ring, which uses a flow-

collecting direct-up sprinkler. This sprinkler has a large water flow. When the pump is working at high power, there is a spectacular spray diameter and height. This DC spray head is provided with a

55W submersible pump to provide water pressure. Two sets of colored lights are respectively installed under the outer ring and middle ring nozzles, in a working state of alternate flashing. When

the music fountain works, the water spray has obvious layering and the visual effect is good. The diameter of the fountain pool is about 0.8m, and the maximum diameter of the nozzle group is

0.5m. When the outer and middle ring nozzles are tilted inward, the outward splashing caused by the water spray in the pool is well prevented.

3.1.2 Control system composition

1. Processing of music signals

The music of the music fountain is played from CD, VCD and other players. Through the power amplifier, the music is output all the way to the speaker

device, and the audio signal is sampled and processed by the A/D conversion module. Two output modes.

2. Synchronized control of water pattern and music

The water type will be demonstrated at the same time as the music playing. During the transition between music, the water pattern is also kept synchronized to stop or

continue the demonstration. In order to synchronize the water pattern with the music, this music fountain control system provides an adjustable fountain delay program.

3. Control of submersible pump motor

The internal program of the controller controls the submersible pump motor, so that each piece of music can find the corresponding fixed

program data from the controller and output it accordingly.

5
4. Control of colored lights

The colored lights are controlled by the controller system program. The colored lights will produce changes and actions under the water corresponding to the

changes in the music through the control program, to achieve the perfect unity of vision and hearing, and give people the perfect enjoyment of spirit. 5. Rhythm follow-

up control of water type

Synchronous changes of different music rhythms show water-like jumping and swaying, showing the visual speed regulating end of the musical fountain. The speed

regulating end is DC5VDC5V. Two sets of underwater lights and two sets of submersible pumps CDVCDDVD. Programmable controller external speakers (left) Inverter 1

#SSR inverter3#SSRMM external speaker (right) power amplifier A/D. This water type change is controlled by the corresponding program after collecting and converting

its audio signal through A/D, and realizes the acceleration and deceleration control of the submersible pump through the frequency converter, so as to realize the

intuitive experience of different music signals.

4 The hardware design of the control system

First of all, the number of inputs/outputs required by the system needs to be clarified, and secondly, the sequence of the control actions and the relationship between the control devices

should be determined as needed.

4.1 Estimation of I/O port of PLC control system

When designing the I/O points of the small music fountain control system, according to the principle of using PLC I/O nodes, certain I/O points should be reserved for

expansion. The number of input and output points of the control system can be roughly determined according to the control requirements of the system.

5 Inverter and control parameter design

The main task of the frequency converter is to convert the power frequency to other frequencies of alternating current to meet the speed regulation changes of the alternating current

motor. The frequency converter in this system is used to receive the music control switch signal processed by the PLC, and output alternating current with different frequencies to achieve the design

goal of changing the water spray state of the water pump, and to achieve the harmonious unity of the fountain water spray and the music rhythm. The water column is controlled according to live

music to synchronize the water column with the music, but the water pump controls the water column, and the water pump is controlled by an asynchronous motor. The speed of asynchronous

motor is changed by frequency change, but the frequency of power frequency is constant, and the frequency converter is a device for special motor speed regulation. Therefore, the speed of the

motor can be indirectly controlled by the frequency converter, so that the height of the water column changes.

5.1 Inverter selection

Based on the relatively simple control system, this design uses MM420 frequency converter to control the speed of the submersible pump. MM420 general-purpose

frequency converter, can be used to control the speed of three-phase AC motors, suitable for variable frequency drive devices.

5.2 Inverter control wiring diagram

The hardware connection diagram is shown in Figure 8. The AIN+ terminal of the MM420 inverter is connected to the Q1.5 output port of the PLC to control the start

and stop of the inverter. The PLC output ports Q1.0—Q1.2 are connected to the DIN1—DIN3 terminals of the inverter, and the inverter is controlled to output the preset

frequency determined by the set parameters through the switch value of the PLC output.

7
6. PLC control process and control program

After initializing the PLC, first check the status of the start button, and then choose to control the start of the motor. If the stop button is pressed, it will

transfer to the motor stop control program and stop the motor. The initial condition for the frequency converter to start is the motor start signal. As long as one of

the motors starts to work, the frequency converter can be operated. The PLC control of the inverter is to control the output of Q1.0—Q1.2 based on the switch

value read in I0.0—I0.7, so as to achieve the purpose of selecting the preset inverter output frequency. The frequency preset by the inverter is shown in Table 9. By

changing the frequency of the output current to control the speed of the motor, adjust the height of the water column change. The two groups of colored lights

are related to the intensity of the music rhythm, and the high and low changes of the colored lights are controlled by the read-in values of I0.0-I0.7 to achieve

synergy with the music. The system control process is shown in Figure 11
