The first date is crucial to the outcome of
the relationship. Have a blast and things are
likely to turn out great, have a bad time on
the other hand and your relationship is
likely over!

The place you go and what you do for your

first date can often be as important as what
you talk about. Take her to do something she
enjoys and everything else will likely fall
into lace, go somewhere boring and you will
have a hard time making her happy.

So, without further ado, here are some gret

first date ideas:
·
Take a drive down to the beach and walk
and talk. It's a cheap date and a good
way to find out about the other person.

Ring up your local pool hall, find out

when its the quietest and go have a game
of pool together.

Go to mini golf. The beauty of mini golf

is there will be a lot of other couples
around as well and families, so it makes
for a comfortable setting.

Take your date to a concert. If you've

been friends with this person for a
while, you'll know what he or she likes
and you can work on that. If you don't
know the person well,

Take your date on a picnic by the water.

Make sure there are plenty of rest rooms
and shelter around just in case.

Go to the casino. This is not everyone's

cup of tea, but what could be more
exciting then winning big. They will
never forget it.

Go go-karting. This is a great way to

find out if your date will try just about
anything once.

Take your date golfing. Find a local golf

course that caters to beginners and do
only 9 holes.

Go to the golf driving range. This is

probably a better idea then golfing, it's
cheaper, shorter in time and more fun.

Have your palms read. Most women find

this sort of thing very interesting.

Take a limo ride around the city. To find

the best deals, use the Internet to find
local companies with websites.

Go to a roof top or revolving restaurant.

Eating outdoors always makes things more
memorable, just remember to make a
booking first.

Go to a day spa together and get a

massage. Go on the Internet to find the
best deals.

Go hot air balooning. Probably not the

ideal first date as it's a little
expensive and hot air balooning is done
very early in the morning.

Go on a lunch date. Perfect idea if you

work together, just make sure your date
knows it's a date and not a friendly
outing.

Go to a local museum. The most popular

types of museums are the interactive
types, with displays, not things like art
galleries.

If your date is the sporting type, take

her to a local sporting event. You could
even go to a college game.

If you know how to ride a motorbike, take

your date for a ride somewhere scenic or
at nightime in the city.

Go to the batting cages. Not everyone's

idea of a great date, but you'll soon
find out if your date is easy going or
high matainence.

Frisbee golf is another date idea that

will certainly tell you what type of
person you are dating. If you are not
sure what frisbee golf is, go to
google.com and look it up, it's a lot of
fun.

Go to your local jazz club and relax.

Everyone loves jazz.

Go to the zoo. Most zoo's have nigh time

exhibits or exhibits out of the norm for
people to see.
Go to the local fair. Every year we have
a local fair where I live that has show
bags, rides etc.

Getting up early and going to the flea

markets is a very cheap and fun date. If
you are not big on sitting down and
talking, this is the date for you.

Take your date for dinner on the

boardwalk. Very romantic!

Go crabbing together and eat what you

catch.

Go to an amusement park together. This

idea worked 40 years ago, and it still
works today. It's exciting and you don't
have the pressure of having to come up
with topics for conversation constantly.

Go canoeing and have a picnic lunch

somewhere.

Take swing dancing lessons together. I

love swing dancing and it is a lot of
fun.

Go to a ski resort and have a something

to drink and eat at the lodge.

If you have a boat or access to one, go

boating down a local canal or river.

BBQ by the waterfront or park. Find out

what your date likes to eat and bring all
their favorite foods.
Go have a game of paintball or laser
skirmish. Warning! Getting hit does hurt!

Take a painting class together.

Take a ceramics class together.

Go to an ice skating show.

Go to the theatre and see a play. You can

always get better seats if you ring up in
advance and tell them it's a first date,
or even better, tell them you are on your
honey moon.

Go ice skating together. This is a great

date idea, especially if you are both
beginners or one of you is a lot better
then the other.

If you are both animal lovers, go to a

dog show. I love this date idea.

Go to a poetry reading and have a coffee.

If you both are avid readers, go to a

book store signing.

Go to a college lecture or seminar on a

topic you are both passionate about.

Attend a local highschool musical. Ring

up early and get good seats. Great idea
for single parents.

Go for a walk. Most people (especially

guys) think they have to spend a fortune
on dates, when there is no need. The
person you are with should be happy in
just about any situation as long as they
like you and are not gold diggers.

Go window shopping in a trendy part of

town, just don't buy anything expensive!
Remember, first date!

Do a charitable cause together. Meals on

wheels, retirement homes, soup kitchens,
wild life rescues!

Go to a rodeo. Not everyone's idea of a

good time, especially animal activists,
but it can be fun.

Go to a glass blowing display.

Take your date to a theme restaurant. We

have one near where I live all decorated
in a Dracula theme.

Play Laser Skirmish/Tag. In Australia

it's called Laser Force.

Go to a bingo or trivia night together.

Have cocktails for 2 at a trendy bar.

Take a yoga class together. Take a walk

in the park or take your dogs for a walk
together.

Build a snowman (climate and weather

permitting, of course).

Go for a bike ride (get a bike built for

two for something special).

Play a board or card game. Monopoly is

always a favorite.

Go on a nature walk. There are so many

beautiful rain forests and national parks
in the world, why not enjoy them with
somebody special.

Go to a Christian Concert.

Go on a "progressive dinner" date

(Appetizers at one place, dinner at
another, and dessert at still another
place.)

Rent a paddleboat and chat.

Take a horse-drawn carriage ride. Always

a favorite of mine when I'm in New York.

Take a lesson together (e.g. golf,

cooking, painting, crafts, music, etc.)

Go to the State Fair (or a county fair)

together.

Go to a murder mystery dinner theatre.

Go X-Bowling (a.k.a. disco bowling).

Go to Starbucks and grab a latte and have

a conversation. One of the best date
ideas there is.

Go on a ferry ride without your car and

just walk around when you get to the
other side.

Go in someone's hot tub.

Dress up all fancy and go to a play,

opera, symphony, or just a nice place for
dinner.

Go to the circus. I'm personally not a

huge fan of circuses with animals, but
the circuses with just acrobats is quite
amazing.

Visit an agricultural or environmental

tourist attraction in your city. IE:
biodome, aquarium, planetarium,
arboritarium, botanical gardens, etc.

Take your date to a haunted house.

White water rafting is an EXCELLENT idea!

Take a hay ride together.

Go clam digging or muscle/perwinkle

picking together.

Go on a tour of a local industry. There

are plenty of great tours to suit just
about anyone, from wine and cheese
tasting to chocolate making and of
course, eating!

Go in-line skating at the local park

together.

Go to a drive-in movie. This is still

after all these years one of the better
first date ideas. The only problem is
finding a drive in movie theatre. Look in
the phone book or even on the Internet.

Go to a dance and just plain old have

fun. Women love guys who can dance or at
least try.

Go for a drive in the country. Rent a

convertible for the day.

Buy a block of ice find a grassy hill and

go sliding down it.

Get 100 pennies and go to a fountain and

make wishes.

Go to a matinee together.

Go to a local crafts fair. Ring up your

local tourism centre and find out what's
happening in your area.

And there you have it, with the above list

you should never be short of ideas on where
to take your first date!
