Role Facilities Technician

Required  A minimum of a diploma in Mechanical or Electrical engineering, from a


Qualifications recognized institution with a minimum of three years’ work experience
 Basic Understanding of Facilities Management
 Strong administrative capabilities
 Basic understanding facilities Management
 IT literate – Microsoft packages
 Good knowledge of technical installations, maintenance, and repairs.
 Good analytical, critical thinking, and adaptable problem-solving abilities.
 Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
 Great organizational and time management abilities.
 Knowledgeable in risk management and OHS requirements
 An experience in an FM or related services environment will be an added
advantage
 Good knowledge of SLAs/ KPIs
 Ability to work to pressured deadlines and take on challenges when required

 Performs assigned day to day repairs, emergency and preventative
maintenance.
 Order necessary materials and supplies necessary to complete a task.
 Assists with the installation and modification of building equipment’s systems
 Assists with trouble shooting and repairs of building and installed systems to
include but not limited to
 Plumbing, electrical, Structural and Mechanical services
 Implementation of appropriate corrective action
 Conduct periodic inspections of facilities, assessment of problems and needed
solutions

 Inspects new installations for compliance with building codes and safety
regulations
 Maintains lighting systems throughout the facility, replacing lamps and bulbs
 Attending meetings with stakeholders and providing daily feedback on work
progress
 Review assigned and closure of work orders
 Accessing the maximo systems and updating the same
 Responding quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance
as required
 Evaluate, monitor and identify equipment availability
 Support compliance with agreed OHS standards and other statutory and
regulatory requirements
 Complete maintenance and repair records as required
 Assist in the management of maintenance and service delivery records. ❖
Preparation and timely submission of daily, weekly or monthly reports ❖ Performs
other duties
