Project Name: Action Research Made Easy in the 21st Century with the theme:
Teacher Competitiveness Through Action Research: Keeping the Fire
of Knowledge Burning for 21st Century Classroom

Project Site: Information and Communication (ICT) Room Sta. Rita High School,
Olongapo City

II. RATIONALE

Action research seeks transformative change through simultaneous process


of taking action and doing research, which are linked together by a critical reflection.
Indeed, doing action research improves the quality of teaching and learning. Hence,
this seminar and training, in reference with Division memorandum no. 223 s. 2018, is
hereby proposed for the teachers of Sta. Rita High School, so that they will be
updated and equipped in doing an action research, which will be conducted on July
19 and 26, 2019.

III. PROJECT PURPOSE

This project is proposed to realize the following objectives:

a. to equip the teachers on the components of crafting an action research


proposal;
b. to familiarize the teachers on the parts of research proposal;
c. to develop a working title, research questions and research framework; and
d. to demonstrate enthusiasm and skills on presenting an action research.

IV. PROJECT DESCRIPTION

This seminar training will be participated in by twenty-eight (28) teachers, two


(2) Head Teachers and one (1) Principal of Sta. Rita High School. This meant to
provide the participants actual experiences through workshops and group activities,
where they could appreciate more the importance of action research.

It will be conducted on July 19 and 26, 2019 from 1:00 to 5:00 o’clock in the
afternoon at the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Room of Sta. Rita
High School, Olongapo City.
V. PLANNED ACTION AND ACTIVITIES

The following are the planned activities that shall be done in line with the said
undertakings.

VI. PROJECT COSTS AND PROPOSED SOURCES OF FUNDING

The funding shall come from the personal expense of the proponent and the
School Maintaining and Other Operating Expenses (MOOE).

VII. EXPECTED OUTPUTS AND EFFECTS AND ITS OUTCOMES

The Sta. Rita High School specifically the leaners will benefit from this seminar
training. A group of more informed teachers and students is expected. Likewise,
teachers and administrators will be equipped with the necessary information and skills
in the preparation of Action Research.
