Effects of Depression

As P said before, depression can be caused by many ways. It can impact every
area in your life, including how you sleep and eat, your relationships, health,
education and career. It not only just occur for an individual but also can affect
your friends, family, and everyone around you.

Some aspects of depression can
be considered to be complex.
These include pain, suffering and
stress on family, friends, and
other relationships, which may
express themselves into
different emotions in daily
activities. This leads to serious
consequences such as lost a job
and even marital breakdown.
Most people with depression have experienced a traumatic event or dramatic
change in their life. Instead of sharing about their anger or feelings, they just keep
it to themselves. By doing this, emotions overwhelm the patient and eats away at
them, leading them to feel hopeless, guilt, and even suicide to escape the
feelings.

hard for everyone, especially the
parents, to distinguish
depression from just a bad day.
One sign is that children become
not to care for their grades.
Especially, boys tend to find
more violent ways than girls.
They want attention, hoping
someone will notice their needs. The more irritable they are, the more guilty they
feel => Then, they isolate themselves from friends and family and stay alone in
their room. As a result, they can make a quick decisions without thinking about
the consequence. Finally, this leads to commit suicide, or even worse, go through
it alone.
Moreover, Scientists found that there is the common type of depression that are
specific to women. That is Postpartum depression which occurs in women who
have major depression after a few weeks or months after giving birth. These
characteristics may result from varying circumstances surrounding the mother
and child, such as low income or the father leaving, or can result from the
mother’s physical or mental condition prior to the birth. As about 1 out of every
10 will suffer from this depression. In the United States, it is estimated that about
700,000 women will undergo postpartum depression each year.
We can see how horrible the consequences were. So a question is: Are there any
