Correlation levels 1, 2 or 3 as defined below:

1: Slight (Low) 2: Moderate (Medium) 3: Substantial (High)

NOTE: Considering the average %, the threshold for POs and PSOs have been fixed at 70%
Step 2: Target attainment levels of POs and PSOs

POs and PSOs are attained mainly through Core Courses. Each Course Outcome addresses a sub-set of POs and PSOs to varying
levels (strengths) (1, 2 or 3).
• Strength of mapping is defined at three levels: Low (1), Medium (2) and Strong (3).
• If >40 % of classroom sessions/tutorials/lab hours address a particular PO, it is considered that the PO is addressed at
Level 3 (High).
• If 25% to 40% of classroom sessions/tutorials/lab hours address a particular PO, it is considered that the PO is addressed
at Level 2 (Medium).
• If 10% to 25% of classroom sessions/tutorials/lab hours address a particular PO, it is considered that the PO is addressed
at Level 1 (Low).
• If <10% of classroom sessions /tutorials/lab hours address a particular PO, it is considered that the PO is not addressed.
Sten 3: Define the course outcomes (COs) ofeach theory and laboratory courses

Course Outcomes are goals for student learning that the Course Co-Ordinator set for a course. They
essentially answer the question "What will students learn?". Course-level or semester-long. Course Outcomes
are usually shared with students in the syllabus.
Course Outcomes:
. Helps to demonstrate that learning has occurred in students in an objective, measurable way.
. Focus on learning and student success, supporting the university mission and provost charge.
. Are an integral part of accreditation standards.
. Empower students to become more involved with their learning experiences.
. Allows to assess students' learning and use the results as a tool for improvement.
. Create a common language that crosses all departments within a university.
Course Outcomes demonstrate what Course Co-Ordinator want students to know, do, or value by the end
of course. A typical learning outcome may start with "By the end of this course, students will be able to..."
Then, continue the sentence with an action verb and a goal for the course. When writing Course Outcomes,
Bloom's Taxonomy is used to choose action verbs that reflect the appropriate level of rigor intended for the
course.

At the end of semester, students will be able to,

Assessment tools. One such tool is the opinion of graduates during the completion
ofthe program. Besides, a
survey on the attainment of each Program Outcome is also taken from stakeholde.r. th"y
all contribute
equally towards indirect assessment of attainment of pOs and pSOs.
