Annexure F: Pitch Preparations 2020-21

For the Season, the Main Pitch will be the responsibility of the League. The information in this Annexure
provides a brief overview on the timelines for the Main Pitch(es) readiness.

a) Pitch Activity Schedule

Below are the details on ideal Main Pitch activity schedule for MD-2, MD-1 and MD respectively. The
League may request the support of the Clubs regarding these elements from time to time.

Example for MD -2

Match Day – 2 (MD -2)

7:00 12:00 Mowing - double cut (patterns) and irrigation
11:00 14:30 Line marking of the FOP. Pitch tests to be carried out simultaneously
16:00 16:30 Pitch watering
16:30 18:30 Mowing - double cut (patterns) and irrigation (if possible)

17:00 18:30 Depending on conditions and sprinkler system, watering will be carried out
18:40 19:10 Pre-match warm-up
19:10 19:20 Removal of debris after pre-match warm-up
19:30 20:15 Kick -off (first half)
20:15 20:25 Removal of debris post first half
20:30 21:15 Kick -off (second half)

Note: The above schedule is subject to change depending upon pitch condition, weather conditions,
available irrigation at Stadium.

b) Standard Field Set-up

 Warm-up Areas
Depending on the Stadium, the warm up areas will be either behind the goal line, behind
the advertising boards or behind the Team Benches. A maximum of six (6) Players per
Team can warm up at any time (incl. the goalkeeper) accompanied by a maximum of two
(2) Team Officials.

During warm-up, no equipment shall be allowed (except when the goalkeeper is warming
up), and Players and Team Officials shall wear bibs at all times.

 Benches and Technical Area


The Team Benches and Fourth Official Bench will be provided by the League. The
dimensions of the technical area will vary from Stadium to Stadium.
