The three things that I significantly learned from the videos and the readings are:

o He went to different universities local and international to study different professions. He

went to Paris and Germany for his specialization in ophthalmology to cure her mother’s
eye ailment.
o Republic Act 1425 “Rizal Law” is authorized by Ramon Magsaysay allows all schools in the
country to teach of Jose Rizal’s life, works and writings.

Three things that are unclear to me are:

o Why did he expose the Spanish Colonial in his novels even if he knew that his one foot is
in the grave
o He is alleged that he was a pure Indio and not a Chinese Mestizo.

I used to think that:

o I already knew Dr. Jose Rizal and his works but I was wrong, he is so much more than
what I knew he was. Like for example at first I used to think that He was only good at
writing novels and poems but upon watching the video and reading the articles I have
learned he is a man with multiple professions. I used to think that he became our
National hero because of his novels but behind that he’s  brilliance, compassion,
courage, and patriotism are greatly remembered and recognized by the Filipino people.

The three questions that I want to ask about the movies and the readings are:
o Who is behind the dog (mascot) that ran around the lifeless body of Rizal, whining after
his execution?
o Why was a firing squad composed of eight native soldiers are the one who shot Rizal at
Babumbayan field and not the Spaniareds?
o
