1. Name two people and give their significant contributions to Rizal’s life. Explain.
• Gregorio, his significant contributions in Rizal’s life was to influenced him to read and
love reading books, because of that his writing skills was developed.
• Doña Teodora, a mother of Jose Rizal the significant contributions to Rizal’s life is she
was the first person who guide him and the first teacher because of homeschooling and
she is the one who discovered that his son has talented at writing in poetry.

2. Why do you think Rizal felt that the moths* tale could serve as an allegory of his
destiny?
• Because he anticipated that someday, slack students would be given questions concerning
him and would turn to total strangers for help with their assignments. The poor man was
driven insane by it, so he invented all kinds of absurd tales to mislead them.

3. Why do you think Rizal addressed Josephine as "My Dear and unhappy wife"?
• Rizal addressed Josephine as “My Dear and unhappy wife” because he knew that he’s
going to live her in sorrow and agony. Rizal maybe think that he is not a good husband in
terms of not doing his duty as a husband because he chooses to serve to his fellow.

4. If you had been Rizal’s defense lawyer, what could you have done to save Rizal from
his death sentences?
• To save him is to fight about his work will use the articles he wrote and reveal all the
stink of corrupt people at that time. And study carefully the law that should and should
not be imposed on him.

5. Do you think Rizal’s dying for the country was worth it?
• For me yes, but it will worthless if everyone doesn’t appreciate all his sacrifices and
works for the country.
