I. Introduction

1. Rationale:

Social media is defined by its interactivity, connectedness, and user


generated content. In today’s society, the use of media has become necessary
daily activity, especially Facebook. The popularity of using Facebook has
increased drastically today. And teenagers are among the biggest consumers
of this social-network.

The aim of this study is to understand the reason why teenagers are addicted
to Facebook.

2. Aim and Objectives.

- The survey is aim to find out why teenagers are addicted to Facebook.
- Teenager’s opinions on social networks in survey.

Research questions:

1. What are the advantages of using Facebook?


2. What are the symptoms of Facebook addiction?
3. How will teenagers react when they are not allowed to use Facebook?

III. Methodology.

Research method:

In this research study, to achieve the objectives. The qualitative survey is use
case study type of qualitative research, create a hypothetical situation to
approach the behavior of students at X High School. The survey will take a
pre-arranged question as a sample.
Participants:

The sample consisted of 400 students from 10th to 12th at X High School.

Sampling procedure:

The survey will be held online, and the sample group will be requested to
complete an online questionnaire consisting of approximately 10 questions
which should take 15 minutes to complete, questions are based on the
situation in the video.

After the online questionnaire class done, all the participants will receive a
small gift from the organizer.

Tool for collecting data:

We choose questionnaire to collect data for some reasons. Firstly, the covid-
19 pandemic is spreading, all we have to do is working at home. Secondly,
making questionnaire is very convenient because it is possible through
online organization, which is very stable for our tight economy.

Procedures for collecting data:

We will choose the students break time to conduct the survey. And before
that we will notify the major teachers of those students in advance so they
can take and practice the questionnaire survey.
