The marketing management students should:
1. Be able to understand the ideas, concepts, tools, theories, and models of economics
2. Be able to use economic concepts and models to predict or explain behavior and outcomes in novel settings.
3. Be able to demonstrate an integration of the subdivisions within economics such as economic development,
economic thought, and the application of these subdivisions to current economic issues and problems.
4. Be able to express economic ideas accurately, professionally, and succinctly by effectively applying relevant
economic sources and data in various written formats.
5. Be able to gather and analyze relevant data as well as critically evaluate economic policy proposals and their
diverse outcomes in relation to various contemporary economic models and theories.
Intended Learning Outcomes (ILO)
Upon the completion of this course, the students should be able to:
ILO 1 Identify and explain the different terminologies, concepts and theories related to economics, specifically
microeconomics.
ILO 2 Use tabular, graphical and mathematical models in analyzing and solving business and individual problems to
attain the optimal choice
ILO 3 Prepare a business research projects (reaction paper, case study) based on news heard, read or watch which is

Assessment:
1. Student Portfolios is a collection of a student’s work gathered during this alternative mode of teaching
and learning. It is composed of exercises and activities after each chapter discussion, group project on
Infographic, Critique Paper, and case/problem-based learning the present economic condition. This portfolio
gives evidence on student’s competency and performance ability. In addition, this display types of student
creativity where standard criteria (Rubric) are applied.
2. There will be two (2) examinations scheduled for summative assessment. This will test the student’s
competency and learning during the entire instruction and discussion of the subject matter starting August 16, 2021.
