COURSE DESCRIPTION

This is a 3-unit major course required for all students enrolled


in secondary education major in Social Studies.
This course is designed to explore the concepts and dynamics
of people and activities from various locations, describing the
locations and patterns of human activity, exploring process
and patterns with historical lens, and understanding the
relationship of the natural environment to the other aspects of
human behavior.
COURSE OUTCOMES

Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the places and


landscapes in the various parts of the world;
Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the process,
patterns and relationships of the natural environment to the other
aspects of human behavior;
Demonstrate an understanding of the concepts, dynamics and
activities of people;
COURSE OUTCOMES

Manifest and in-depth appreciation on the various places,


landscapes of the world and the Philippines;
Display the qualities of an innovative student who has an
understanding of the subject matter; and
Utilize appropriate various socio-cultural and historical materials in
explaining current issues concerning places, landscapes, sceneries,
roads and trails and pilgrimages;
