BIKOY 411: AN ONLINE STUDENT INFORMATION

DATABASE SYSTEM

Abstract
This research is focused on developing a system that manages and records all the data and information for the Senior High School students of
Batangas Eastern Colleges. Also, this study aimed to develop a system called Bikoy 411: An Online Student Information Database System which can be
a good basis or foundation in terms of the data information of the students. Additionally, this study is focused on and analyzed the perception of the
students towards the system or Bikoy 411 in terms of design, function, accessibility, as well as its accuracy. Also the benefits and the level of the
effectiveness of the system.
In addition, this study is quantitative research specifically survey research. The study was conducted at the BSTC building of Batangas
Eastern Colleges through Google Form. It used the purposive sampling technique in conducting a survey and gather data among the Senior High School
teachers of Batangas Eastern Colleges. In gathering the needed data, a set of questionnaires were used which was divided into 3 parts, first part are
questions regarding the perceptions of the respondents on the overall characteristics of the Bikoy 411 or the developed system which had 4 subparts
namely the design, function, accessibility, and accuracy. The second part questions the benefits of using the developed system to the respondents and
lastly is the level of effectiveness of the developed system in terms of monitoring and accessing the basic information of the students. And these
developed questionnaires are distributed online through the use of online platforms called Google Forms.
The findings of the study would be beneficial to the Parents, Students, Teachers as well as Future Researchers. However, as shown in the
findings, most of the respondents have shown great responses and gave positive perceptions regarding the overall characteristics of the developed
system specifically in design, function, accessibility, and accuracy. Also as showed in the findings, the respondents showed a high agreement that using
the system it makes much easier for them to search student’s information as the included information is compiled being accurate and organized. Lastly,
according to the findings, the level of effectiveness of the system also received great responses from the respondents that the Bikoy 411 was highly
effective as an Online Student Information Database System.
