Subject: PARTICIPATION TO THE  2021 3rd QUARTER

NATIONWIDE SIMULTANEOUS EARTHQUAKE DRILL

This Division

1. Pursuant to OUA Memo 00-0921-0004 “Reiteration of Participation to

the 2021 3rd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill”, this
Division enjoins the schools and offices across all levels to participate in
the conduct of the 3rd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake
Drill (NSED) with the following activities:

2. Given that students are on summer vacation, all are still encouraged to
participate in the above-mentioned activities which promote earthquake
preparedness and disaster resiliency while observing the COVID-19
required health standards.

3. In order to further raise awareness regarding the earthquake drill,

DRRM coordinators are encouraged to:

a) intensify the information on Education and Communication (IEC)

campaign by displaying earthquake preparedness measures at the
offices and school bulletins or through online forums such as media
platforms and video conferences;
 b) discuss results of Family Earthquake Preparedness Homework to the
PTA and barangay officials to consider school and community
preparedness planning as mandated in DO. No. 27, s. 2015;

c) distribute maps containing evacuation routes and sites (at school or

community) in coordination with LDRRMOS/BDRRMCs; and

d) follow additional preparedness and response measures listed in

Enclosure 23 of DepEd Order No. 33, s. 2021.

4. Proper documentation and post-activity evaluation of said drill are

required.  All schools are advised to make the necessary preparations to
ensure that the required reports are submitted on time.

5. For submission of the 2021 3 rd Quarter NSED report, the school DRRM
coordinators shall fill out a Google form link
https://bit/ly/MindanaoSchools3QNSED which is not later than five (5)
working days after the quarterly NSED. In case schools are not able to
access or fill out the Google form due to internet connectivity issues,
they may use the attached reporting template and submit a copy
through email to Division DRRM Coordinator at
jolito.vince@deped.gov.ph not later that 10 working days after the
quarterly NSED.

6. Wide and immediate dissemination of this Memorandum is enjoined.
