are things needed to be
considered by PEDRO in
his floor plan???

Let's Consider this
•The Volume of People who would
work with
•The size of the kitchen materials
•The traffic movement
•People culture and workspace
•How fast can the food be delivered
and assembled

But what if PEDRO is not selling

But what if PEDRO is into

Information Technology
•Information Technologies are
systems of hardware and/or
software that capture, process,
exchange, store and/or present
information using electrical,
magnetic and/or electromagnetic
energy.
21/01/2021
There must be a process also
1. CAPTURE – a data is capture
2. PROCESS – data then is process
3. EXCHANGE – process data is then routed to its
destination
4. STORE – Information is then store
5. PRESENT – Information is presented

Information Technology
• Specifically, IT is any technology or a group of
technologies that help to produce, manipulate,
store, communicate, and/or disseminate
information.
• Parts of IT
• Computer Technology
• Communications Technology

21/01/2021
Computer Technology
•A computer is a programmable, multiuse
machine that  accepts data – raw facts and
figures – and processes, or manipulates, it
into information we can use, such as
summaries, totals, or reports.
•Its purpose is to speed up problem solving
and increase productivity.

Communications Technology
•Communications technology, also called
telecommunications technology,
consists of electromagnetic devices and
systems for communicating over long
distances.
•The principal examples are telephone,
radio, broadcast television, and
computers.

FACTORS IN COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY
•CYBERSPACE
•Online Network and Internet
•Internet of Things

21/01/2021
CYBERSPACE
• Term coined by William Gibson in Neuromancer
(1984)
• Described a futuristic computer network people
“plugged” into directly with their brains
• Now the term cyberspace encompasses:
• The Internet & the World Wide Web in particular
• The wired and wireless communications world in general
• Two most important aspects: Internet and web
• Thus, cyberspace includes chat rooms, blogs, ATMs,
conference calls, texting, etc.

21/01/2021
World Wide Web
•An interconnected system of servers
that support specially formatted
documents in multimedia form
•Includes text, still images, moving
images, sound
•Responsible for the growth and
popularity of the Internet

21/01/2021
Internet of Things (IoT)
• The IoT is the concept of connecting any device to
the Internet and to other connected devices.
• A giant network of connected things and people – all
of which collect and share data about the way they
are used and about the environment around them.
• Example:
• Wearable fitness devices that measure your heart rate
and the number of steps you’ve taken that day, then use
that information to suggest exercise plans tailored for
you.
