INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES:

Task 1:

You are a reporter working for KPM Media Corporation. You are assigned to cover an
incident or event that is newsworthy. You must prepare a two-minute video for
your report of the occasion. Your report must include the following:

1. Self-introduction
2. Background information related to the incident/event
3. An interview session with related person(s)

Upon choosing the news to report on, please ensure that your news report
incorporates at least THREE news values that you have learnt from the lecture.

Task 2:

You are also required to produce a write-up to explain how the reported news relates
to the THREE news values chosen. The write-up should be LESS THAN 200 words.

Once completed, all news report videos should be uploaded onto YouTube and they
are to be arranged in a YouTube playlist of your class, respectively. The class
representative should submit the YouTube playlist link to your respective class
lecturer.

Your write-up should be submitted in PDF format to your respective lecturer

individually. Your submission should be accompanied by the assignment cover
page (refer to Document 1A) and the assignment rubric (Document 1B) that
your lecturer has provided to you. Please ensure that you fill in all the details on the
cover page, and do not forget to insert your signature in the plagiarism declaration
section.
