1. What is the relevance of Physical Education in the school curriculum and to you as a student?
(10 points)

Physical Education has a huge impact in our school curriculum, especially to students. PE
engages us pupils, including teachers, to participate in not only improving and focusing on our
physical well-being and fitness but also our mental, emotional, and spiritual development. This
helps increase our body strength and motor skills, as well as our ability to understand ourselves
through spiritual activities. Physical Education has got great health benefits, especially if you
include both mental and emotional development. Being prepared in both aspects could help you
strive for a perfectly fit and a healthy physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual body. Sports
expands our skills, and as we continue performing a specific physical activity, we grasp its
fundamentals making it easier for us to do, and also makes us come up with new techniques and
ideas on new possible ways we could play it.

This also includes learning about maintaining our diet, and what great outcomes there would be
if we aren’t strict and disciplined enough about ourselves.

2. How do you engage yourself in physical activities at this time of pandemic? Cite a specific
activity. (10 points)

When the pandemic first started, I had no interest in doing any of the physical activities
available. I chose to just lay in my bed and scroll through my phone - I wouldn’t even come out
of my room. There was a time where I lost weight and I realized there were other ways I could
do that, an even healthier way and so I did. Once I came back to Manila, I started stretching and
doing simple basic exercises. And then, as time went on, I did more than I could the first time I
started actually exercising.

Exercising or working out, as most would say, doesn’t start easy. You get used to it as long as
you continue making progress. I’d also like to add that a healthy diet and a focused mind would
get you there. Some of my favorite exercises are:

- Squats
- Jumping Jacks
- Planks
- Crunches
