COVID-19 VS. THE WHOLE WORLD

We live in an interconnected world, where borders are porous, more like living
membranes than physical walls. The new outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19), now threatening
to snowball into a full-fledged pandemic, has already begun to wreak some kind of global havoc,
causing alarm and even panic in several countries, financial spasms and, most painfully, loss of
life

During this time of hardships, it is really hard to be able to stay calm – even at home.
Now that there are some cases that were confirmed positive in COVID-19 in our province,
giving panic and fear to the community, the government raises the protocol to an enhanced home
quarantine for the safety of all. Front liners are still fighting for this battle, risking their lives not
only for them to save their patients, but also, to save themselves and the people. On the other
hand, students still have to attend their online classes for it is for their own benefits. However,
there are still people who does not have the privilege to stay chill and calm at their own houses
knowing that they lack supply for their daily needs, thus, drawing a fear that they might starve to
death when they just chill and do nothing. As a result, this people violate the protocols that were
given by the government for the safety of everyone. As a citizen of this country, the best way to
finish this battle is to follow the protocols that were given by the government. During these hard
times, the government will never let its country suffer. It is our role to stay calm and never panic
because it will never draw a positive mindset. We must enhance our critical thinking skills and
emotional intelligence in order not to have a negative mindset at all. By applying emotional
intelligence, we can eradicate our negative vibes that may cause us to panic and overthink. We
need to enhance our self-awareness to things we see or hear because it may also cause us
negative mindset and unstable mental health. While we are in our own houses, we must use self-
management in order to be productive and to kill time. We must also be socially aware especially
on people we encounter for us not to be infected by a virus. It is also important that during these
times, we manage our relationship with our family, friends and relatives by practicing social
distancing to lessen the chance of getting a virus. We can save ourselves if we know how to
cooperate and follow protocols.

The world, suddenly, is currently facing a different situation that can possibly eradicate
humankind, if not prevented. During this time of misfortune, when the whole world is being
