WHO WE ARE
We strive to create educational programs that promote equal opportunity, diversity,
gender parity, and inclusion in all that we do.

Founded in 1986
Nebraska Shakespeare was founded as a joint venture between educators at
Creighton University and the University of Nebraska – Omaha.

Independent Educational Theatre Non-Profit


Nebraska Shakespeare is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to
making Shakespeare both free and accessible to a diverse audience.

Diverse Board of Directors and Dedicated Staff


Nebraska Shakespeare’s Board of Directors is over 25 members strong with
leaders from some of Nebraska’s most prominent institutions, including UNMC,
Berkshire Hathaway, and First National Bank.

Professional Theatre Company


While working for Nebraska Shakespeare, actors and stage managers earn
credits that allow them to join the Actor’s Equity Association.
