Learning Task # 1: Formulate personal philosophy as a teacher.

Philosophy of Education

Education is truly an important matter for us. Education helped many people around the world
and it helps an individual to become what they want to be. Education is an important requirement to us it
is because we gain more knowledge about the things that surround us every day and to wider the thoughts
and perspective of an individual. The reason why I choose to teach it is because I want to share the
knowledge I gain to my student to give them more clearable learning. I will guide them to acknowledge
that studying is not always that hard sometimes studying give you happiness and I want my new
knowledge and ideas to help my students in the future and become one of the reasons why they become
successful.

Inside my classroom I will show my student how important the reading, writing, and thinking
skills it is because these are the important requirements in helping and building their academic abilities so
that it is easy for my students to understand the learning that I shares to them. That is why these three the
reading, writing, and thinking skills are very important to my classroom and to my students future life.

To help my students to learn easily I will teach them some techniques to improve their learning
and understanding of my lessons this is useful even for me this technique is “Always listen to the
discussions” to understand every lesson I share. So when you are inside my classroom you need to listen
so that you will be able to answer my assessments after my discussion. Because of educational theories
the student improve their selves to be more advance in learning it is because it helps them to get wider
thoughts and ideas in every lesson. The technique I gave earlier helps my student to have a clearable
learning and it helps my students to understand clearly each lesson and sometimes when a student listen
carefully to the discussion they imagine the lesson in their minds on how it goes. For my students, you
don’t need to be afraid if your answer is wrong and I will not be angry but I will explain to you in a
simply explanation for you to understand it is because having an incorrect response is just a part of
learning it is because through mistakes you will learn and grow and I believe in that.

All I want to see inside my classroom is that seeing my students improve their learning and
improve their selves the way they interact to their classmates and instructors and on how they handle the
lessons and seeing become more responsible in their study and witness the improvement of their
knowledge. I hope that my students will apply the learning I have shared to them because that is all my
purpose. Share my knowledge and ideas and that is the reason why I choose teaching.
Learning Task # 2: Reflection on their own philosophy by answering guide questions:

1. With that educational philosophy:

 How will you treat your students?

- I will treat my students in a joyful way so that my students will not be

intimidated or afraid in my appearance when it comes to my discussions.

 What will you teach?

- Being a perennialist teacher we focus on the books says because a perennialist

teacher teach his/her students what he/she lifted from the great books but for my
educational philosophy I won’t deny that I don’t get learning’s from the great books but I
also teach my students if I think this teaching is good for them and suits them to
understand clearly the lesson I teach.

 How will you teach?

- I will teach my students in a clearly understandable way because a

perennialist teacher do not allow the students’ interest or experiences to substantially
dictate what they teach that is why I need to teach my best for the student to surely
understand what lesson I shared but if I was not in a proper way of teaching I can accept
it and repeat the lesson that my student not clearly understand.

2. From which philosophies that you have studied and researched did you draw inspiration
as you formulated your own philosophy of education?

- The Perennialists it is because I get learning from the great writers and
thinkers and share it to my students because I believe that students learn from
reading, writing, and analyzing things.

3. Does your philosophy of education make a difference in your life?

- Yes. It is because it makes me a better individual and a better teacher on how

we treat our students or other people in a proper way of giving advice.

What if you do not have a formulated philosophy of education at all?

- If I do not have a formulated philosophy of education at all I think the

progress of my philosophy is slower in achieving my better philosophy of
teaching just like what I say we teachers never stop learning so there will come a
time that we can change our philosophy but it depends on the teacher if he/she
want to change it or not.

4. Is your educational philosophy more of an abstract theory than a blueprint to daily living?
- Base on my philosophy I see more of an abstract theory it is because I don’t
always follow the book says I just do what I think is right learning that I need
share to my students. I get learning from the book too we can’t deny that because
we teachers we never stop learning.

5. Do you think your philosophy will change as you grow in knowledge?

- I agree but not always, I agree it is because every day we learn new things
like explaining lessons. Example. Finishing the 50 slides in the power point
presentation to understand the lesson but now you learn new ways of explaining it
in a simply way that the students will understand more lesson or the ppt. And now
why but not always? It is because there are different teachers, teachers that
explain all of the lessons because they believe more that it is more understandable
for the students if they finish one by one the lesson they discuss.
