Introduction

In this day, every country in the world is in a state of emergency due to the
Coronavirus causing social interactions or public gatherings being restricted. Also,
people are continuously losing their jobs as companies and even schools are shutting
down. However, since the use of social media is inevitable, people are now utilizing it as
a new form to cope with the pandemic coining the term, “new normal”.
One of the things in this “new normal” situation is the trend of online shopping.
According to Arreola (2020), 23% shows an increasing number of online shopping
activity. If we consider social media as a new consumer resort, entrepreneurs should
adapt to this new normal.
One advantage of using social media for your business is promotion. Since
everyone is on social media, posting your advertisement online can attract a lot of
consumers. Also, online business is more convenient than traditional one due to
effortless payment, fast delivery and it is easily accessible. According to Wenzl (2021),
one of the consumer behaviors is that convenience is a top priority. So, in this study, the
researchers will determine the efficacy of online advertisement of small businesses on
adolescent consumers’ behavior in the city of Cabuyao.
