4.4 NDT TECHNICIANS & INSPECTORS ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Carry out the required inspection as detailed in the task instructions/work-pack

• Communicate in clear verbal and written English the results of the inspections
carried out.
• Report any potentially unsafe situations and/or inspection anomalies immediately to
the platform supervision and onshore engineering support.
• Ensure all tasks are carried out in a safe manner, in accordance with the Company’s
Safe Systems of Work procedures.

5 REQUIRED LEVELS OF QUALIFICATION

5.1 Inspection Engineers

Preferably degree qualified, and will have wide experience of process plant and pressure
systems inspection, together with minimum 5 year of experience of evaluating defects and
defining appropriate repairs. Knowledge of NDT methods is required. Knowledge of corrosion
in offshore environments is required. Good communication skills are required. The inspection
engineer will have appropriate API certification, e.g. API-510 and API-570.

5.2 NDT Technicians

Will be fully experienced in all core and specialized NDT methods and, as a minimum, should
be qualified to either PCN level 2and ASNT level 2/3 depending on the inspection activity
being undertaken.
ASNT level 3 should supervise the technicians in reviewing and analyzing the results

Rope Access Inspection technicians shall be qualified to IRATA Levels 2.

IRTA Level 3 supervisor is required in every three man team.

The Company reserves the right to review and approve the qualifications and experience of
the Contractors personnel assigned to carry out the required activity.
