AUGUSTINIAN SPIRITUALITY
`
Topic : Lesson 1 – OSA Charism and Vision Mission
I. Introduction:
As Augustinian, it is important to be firmly rooted in humility and to be
responsive to the challenge to become more selfless and open to others,
especially the poor. In this way, they open themselves to the works of the Holy
Spirit who guides and moves their hearts to love. By loving others, especially the
poor, they radiate the love of God to their neighbors, which in turn, lead them to
unity especially in the community.
II. Competency/ies:
The students guided with the OSA chrism and Vision - Mission.
The poor stated in the OSA charism is the people that can't buy foods and
have no shelter, the people that commit their sin regularly, the people that
have not found their true happiness, the people that can't share their
blessing for others, the people that feel hopeless in life, the people who feel
anxiety and depression, and the people that still hold their past and can't
forgive other. they are considered poor. (mentally, physically, and spiritually)
the particular reason for the circumstance is they have little or no faith in
God and his Gospel.
The definitions of vision and mission include a focal point that aims to unite
everybody with the value of God's teaching, thereby ensuring that everybody
serves for a common
goal._________________________________________

Week 1
Review on:
● OSA Charism We, the Augustinian Sister of Our Lady of consolation are called to
incarnate with living faith the compassionate Christ in a Community of friends and in
humble enduring service to the needs of the church especially the POOR through
evangelization.
● Vision – Mission Moved by the spirit of the Risen Christ, we, the Augustinian sister
of Our Lady of Consolation, as community of women disciples, envision ourselves to
become prophetic witnesses by our life action – contemplation.
In solidarity with our people, especially the poor, we commit ourselves to Christ and
His mission through renewed integral evangelization that will affect personal –
communal conversion for the transformation of the world and integrity of creation
towards the realization of the Reign God.2

VII. Assessment:

We can't unload that to God. That's why
people seem to rely more on their power.
We may seek advice from him only, but
we cannot expect him to conduct our mission.
Without aid, little job or adversity can be
accomplished.
Family,
father may have come from a proud, patrician family. But if he’d ever
had wealth, it was apparently gone now. So, though the Augustinus
family may have owned a substantial estate, it seems the Roman tax
collectors had milked their fluid income dry.
