The objective of the Course is to make students aware about critical role of maintenance
management with respect to productivity of an organization. The students will also be made aware
about the importance of extending life cycle of an organizational asset by minimising its rate of
wear and tear , when replacement is not always a viable option in a developing economy like India

normalization and downgrading as applicable in line with the laid down norms.
